okay i just stumbled upon this video and then i saw the comment i posted a year ago. i just want to say i feel extremely selfish and pissed off that i would compared having a horse sold to having a horse die. i apologize for that. i know it's not the same thing at ALL.

omg i know how you feel i started riding 4 years ago and when i first started i rode this gorgeous strarberry roan pony called sorrel and she had really fluffy ears she was the most goregous pony ever , i know she didnt belong to me but i imagined her as my own, she died late at night from a serious case of colic i think and the owners didnt bother to tell me

omg i hate seeing horses pass away i work at a trail riding dudestring and the amount of horses we loose from colic or snaping a bone or on of ur geldings got his legs sliced off, i remember watching it happen and running stright to him and hugging his neck repeting he will live .. but i lied he died 3 hours later. its hard to lose horse especally ur favoret ones , i dont know what i would do with out my first and favoret horse rocky.

thats the hardest way no knowing how he/she went. A friend of mine where i was sleeping just woke up in the middle off the night and went to the stables not saying anything to me so i followed there he lay here horse champ. He was still alive it was like he was waiting for here to come T.T he died in her arms! it was so said to see. We miss champ he was only 4 years old and nobody really knows where he died of it wasn't colic so we life with a mystery

I lost my horse I have had since kindergarden 2 years ago. It hit me so hard, I was going out to give her grain in the middle of the night while it was snowing and I saw a white lump in the snow. I walked closer to find my favorite maer was dying. I was with her when she passed on. I wish I had taken pictures like you did :) I am so sorry for your loss

well i have to say i'm extremely sorry for your loss, and i know that Ace is very very proud of how far you've come. i'm so sorry for the mare too, one of the mares at my barn has been getting a lot lately too. :( It doesn't sound stupid that you're working as sort of a dedication to him, I think it's a good idea. dad to take tons of pictures and videos of Millie, the new pony I ride. Her owner never ever ever comes to see her, she's gotten fat, lost her balance and stamina. So now it's up to me to get her back in shape. I love her too now.. What I'm scared of is that her owner is gonna see how much better she's getting and keep her to herself and disable my lessons with her. Oh well.. I'll try to concentrate on the present and not worry so much about the sad things the future may hold.

i watched with video a few months ago i believe, and i felt incredibly horrible just imagining how you feel. it never crossed my mind that it would happen to me.. then it did. not exactly the same thing, but my loved horse was taken away and i didn't even know she was leaving. no goodbye, no nothing! i had no heads up about her going away. i don't even know where she is, all i know is she's "alive". it completely tore me apart. the worst thing is, our last lesson was the worst yet.

It's okay, i've been thinking about it all week because today makes it 8 months and I've been crying actually and my barn just lost a 20 year old mare from colic, out of the blue, in the middle of the night just like Ace and my friend loved that mare and she's really upset and I was talking to her and I know exactly how she feels and it sucks.

I miss him like hell, but I'm working my butt off in lessons and shows just for him, because I feel like I have to, even though it sounds stupid in a way. My last lesson on him was a disaster. I was sick, like really sick, and he wasn't that great.

He was refusing almost every jump and I shared my lesson ( I usually have privates) and I feel like now that the lesson was focused on the other horse and it kills me inside because I didn't end it on a good note with him at all and I wish he was here today so I could work ten times harder than I used to, but I guess everything happens for a reason, I just don't know what the reason is for this. and what also kills me inside is that the last time I ever saw him, I kissed him on the nose and his was really muddy and my mom yelled at me to get in the car and to put the horse away and I said, "see you this week Ace, I love you." And I was supposed to go Tuesday to ride him and see him, but I didn't feel well so I didn't go and if I did go, I would have gotten to see him one last time and it sucks, because I didn't expect him to die

colic is when their belly hurts, it can be fatal as shown, it is so common in horse death, and it is very sad, i had about 9 horses go down from colic,
