In comparison to storage : price ratio its actually cheaper then the iPod touch 32Gigs.

Retail prices (canadian dollars)

iPod Touch 2nd gen 32 gigs: $399.99

Archos 5 60gigs: $379.99

So you're doubling you memory for $20 less.

Keep saving up more than you would think. Without the battery dock, you are doing an 8 hour USB charge for 4 hours of use, and you will also have to buy several packs of codecs, so there are some hidden costs. It is a great screen for viewing videos, and comes in some very high capacities - as high as 500GB for the new model. The iPod Touch has a more responsive screen for touch and more and better apps. I own both (64GB Touch and 250GB Archos 5).
