  • @HalenNotHagar1984 I like bits. I find it hard to find the love for them unfortunately.

  • Which albums from the box sets did you like?

  • Your so full of BS....your going to buy this sectors and you have not listened to much of the band.......you think your funny.....yeah.....not......

  • @rush2112mn Awww, bless them. They almost managed to string a meaningful sentence together. Your daddy would be proud of you - if you knew who he was. Now run along and play with all the other little trolls...

  • When will there be a prog review? Or is it on Ebay already?

  • @Wesside233 I am not sure how to approach it. Do I just do one video or do I review it set by set. I'm still not the biggest Rush fan...which makes things a little more testing. :-(

  • @vrooomuk I think set by set so you have enough time to talk about each album.

  • Fellows don't forget Gentle Giant. Always my sentimental favorite. Nothing compares to symphonic rock. Classical music perhaps.

  • Hey, I know your review isn't up at the time of posting this comment but would you say these box sets are worth getting now despite the technical issues or should I just wait for these box sets to be rereleased?

  • @PJI93 There are only two discs affected by the glitches. If you are a die-hard fan it would probably stab you in the balls every time you heard it. You can wait or you can buy and then get some replacement discs when they are made available. It is your call.

  • @vrooomuk Ok. Thanks for the advice.

  • Dude, get over the bums. Ladies bums are for Motley Crue albums. Rush are very comfortable with their heterosexuality.

Anyway have fun with the CD's. I envy that you are just getting in to Rush now.

  • @Fizbin32111 Good point. It hearkens back to Greek Classical sculpture and art.

  • They look really good. I think choosing Fly By Night for 5.1 was a silly move. 2112, Hemispheres, Farewell To Kings would have been better imo. I decided to buy all the 97 remasters from ebay that everyone is getting rid of to buy these. One mans trash and all that.

  • @Silmarillion1973 That's a good idea.

  • its interesting how the CD cases look just like the actual vinyl releases

  • whats the backround song i like it

  • @sk8metalnick6 The background music is by myself and the details can be found in the description. Cheers!

  • @vrooomuk yeah i actually read the description 10 seconds after posting that comment. haha. i feel stupid.

  • Yeah but on the first sector wich is the one im planning to buy do they have any glitches like Fly By Night. does 2112 have any glitches and the others?

  • @gsasfdf It's just that disc. Didn't you check out the news article on the official Rush website?

  • Is Fly By Night the only album that has glitches on the first sector?

  • @gsasfdf The DVD of "Farewell to Kings" has a glitch too. There's more about it in the news section of the Rush website.

  • Rush is a great Canadian Prog band but I kind of stopped listening to their albums after 1985.

So Darren are all albums are in 5.1? If not, here we go again with these asshole record companies with partial 5.1 albums??? I prefer the Caress Of Steel and Hemispheres albums. Just some info... the naked man is the abstract man against the masses. And I too prefer British prog... on that note, any new British prog bands?

  • @Dannymusic1999 No, only one album in each box set is 5.1. Stupid really...

  • @vrooomuk Very stupid indeed!!! I guess "Yes" and "ELP" will be next with every other album in 5.1??? Thank god(that invisible man who needs more money every Sunday) for the smart bands like Genesis and King Crimson. By the way, sorry for the off topic rubbish, lol.

  • You like RUSH also? first Pink Floyd and now Rush...I am liking you more and more... :-) Kirk..Montreal, Canada

  • caress of steel always seems to be the bastard child in rush's discography, and now was the only one to come with a "defective" cover from manufacturers (pure necromancer's evil ;-) haha). but nevertheless is still my favorite album.

  • Thanks for great unboxings. You take your time and do it properly. Love them! :)

  • sign me up for fucking mensa :)

  • farewell to kings is brilliant, that era for them is my favorite as well as the time when they probably had the most

    'progressive' sound

  • most of us in Rush' homeland, of a certain age, view Moving Pictures as their top release. ironically the band didn't allow themselves to be influenced by Yes et al until after 2112 (interviews quoted on wikipedia), so they had musical chops in place to be challenged and stretched... Farewell to Kings etc. I'd want Moving Pictures, exit stage left, Signals and maybe Permanent Waves on 5.1. oh, and 2112 might be fun. don't do yourself the harm of all at one go. bit at a time... sector 2 best set

  • You'll probably find the 2nd box set to be the best. It has all of my favorite Rush albums on it.

  • @dbvideoinc Slowly working my way through them...

  • beautiful box set

  • Your unboxing videos are the best. Thanks for doing these.

  • @surfingelectrode And my viewers and subscribers are the best because they always say such nice things and give good support! Huzzah!

  • I think they all should of had a 5.1 Surround mix mainly 2112 through Exit...Stage Left (Prog Years) would've sounded amazing in 5.1. Moving Pictures does have a 5.1 mix but that was its own separate release

  • Darren, I think you'd like Hemispheres a lot of you give it a try. It is definitely their most progressive work, and most talented piece in terms of musicianship

  • Rush geek here.

They should have done ALL the albums in 5.1 (a bit like the KC reissues) because Rush's 1975-1982 is pure gold.

I hope you'll enjoy these albums!

    Cheers!

  • @MrLosfuegos i agree!

  • Darren, I'm flying to NY this holidays and I want to buy a lot of records that can't be found here. So I want to know if you know any boxset like "Discovery" by PF of bands like Yes; Emerson, Lake & Palmer, King Crimson, Jethro Tull... So I can save some money, thanks!

  • @Magnificent881 There's nothing really comparable but in terms of compilations: Yes have the five disc "In a Word" from 2003, while ELP have "The Manticore Years" which compiles most of their albums, King Crimson have various compilations available. But none of them have a box set that brings all the discography together in one box.

  • These sets are being given the bum's rush by Amazon reviewers.

  • @TeamAlfie Ho ho!
