TOS and TNG gained "classic" status -- and we're talking general public here not fans. The average person doesn't even know about DS9 or the other spinoff series no matter how good they might have been. One reason is simply media attention, and one reason for media attention was the "groundbreaking" nature of both TOS and TNG.
list of the captains of the Enterprise. James T. Kirk (NCC-1701-A), Jean Luc Picard (NCC-1701-D and E), Jonathan Archer (NX-01), John Harriman (NCC-1701-B) and Rachel Garret (NCC-1701-C).
That's so great that those four can enjoy themselves thinking about all those times...for all the good times they gave us, they deserve it!
LOL Stewart on not signing body parts...and Nimoy's CAL-Tech story...and Shatner and the Enterprise model...
Great stories for great men!
Sisko...good captain, didn't like him when I first saw DS9 but I've really warmed to him, he's not the conventional captain you love like these guys, he really is a tragic figure; Janeway and Archer...not so good.
There's a really great bit in this where Shatner says that he never watched an episode of TNG and Patrick Stewart and Jonathan Frakes are like 'WTF!!!!!' lol
Well Nimoy is really showing his age, but shatner looks just like he did 20-30 years ago almost despite him gaining weight. Same goes for Patrick. I dont really like Patrick's response to the fan question tho. He has stated many times over in the past that hes sick of star trek and will never put the uniform or talk about it again. Im not sure why
Shatner, Nimoy and Frakes became famous thanks to Star trek. Bue Patrick was a great actor before Star trek, and I think star trek was a step backward in his career.
@msinvincible2000 he was a great actor but he was not famous at all. If not for Star Trek noone would know who he is except for a very narrow audience in the UK
it's an interview with the people who captained the Enterprise. Janeway was the captain of voyager... so she wouldn't be involved. would she? don't get me wrong, I love her though. :-)
@ZandRTheFlop I think there was, I saw a picture of Picard, Kirk, Sisko, and Janeway all sitting on stage at a convention. I'm looking for that video, I don't care much about the "newest" series, and although I liked the movie, I don't think having Chirs Pine there would add that much.
@ZandRTheFlop cool idea... i had this dream once of the entire cast of all five series on stage together and Gene Walking on stage at the end. Yeah... Gene, Mark Lenard, DeForrest and Jimmy Doohan are gone.... but... we could always use pictures. Can people applaude for a hour straight?
@1:33, Nemoy should have said "fascinating"!

@phadil I know we all want to forget, but don't forget Johnathon Archer NX-01.
Also, It would be better if they could get all the "Captains"

These are the right four to have.. Anymore of this interview???
Having the other three captains would of watered down this forum just like it did the series

Nimoy points out a hilarious point, people think he is like Spock, like he is some scientist, ha he's just a regular guy people

I guess yoru right.. I always heared that actors in star trek never had good career's after. Some people turned down roles because of it.

dude.. Star Trek is never a step backwards.

I wonder if there is a video with all 5 main captains being interviewed, i.e. Kirk, Picard, Sisko, Janeway & Archer.
Thats would be awesome.

That is the first thing I said, "WHERE THE F#(* IS JANEWAY?!??!?!!" This should not be called the Captains Summit without Janeway--period...

@kronk99 Janeway is not ST. She came after TNG after Roddenberry and everything post-TNG sucks big time
sondano 1 year ago
@sondano
Sucks big time...according to you. Especially because entire seasons of TOS and TNG also happen to "suck" too, if put put it that way.

@sondano I don't know ds9 was really good a lot of good acting and story. Voyager and enterprise sucks though.
