Stop calling women's sports teams by the first names of the players because points to treating them like under your authority or as children. Women are either sex objects or patronized by the violent social hierarchy. Proper way to address them is the name of team, like every other country.

Them being that they are young women, who try to perform in public and achieve wins in sports culture, and since they are women, they are not really achieving anything. They are too weak and inferior to real achievements, so you don't want to take their sports too seriously but instead just grant them some family style closeness and warmth first names
