@sangoXshark "Little Black Sambo" was originally an Indian boy in the British edition, when that did not sell in America, they changed him to an African and added new illustrations which were drawn in a crude stereotypical style of the day (1898). That's when the trouble started.
At least they play jazz in the Kit Kat. Next door they extol the religion of the slave master. Guess it depends on how you want to define "racist". Is Porky Pig a racist slur against whites? I find this cartoon to be a significant cultural artifact. Glad to see it preserved here on YouTube. Great music too!

The music in this cartoon is fantastic. Wish there was a personnel listing of the musicians. Especially the piano and trumpet.
