Hi demonic. This is probably a stupid question but the would the M2N68-AM SE2 be able to handle an HD 4890? Would it like fit on the mobo?

your trying to show off fps on a concole based game? its not hard to max them out at all.

Try doing your re-search before trying to sound like you know everything.

All of CAPCOM's current gen titles are made using there "Net Framework" engine, which is a PC based engine.

All of CAPCOM's games are made for the PC then ported to consoles, thats how they can port games so well perfomace wise, and add extra features.

If you look at the PC verson of CAPCOMS's major 3 realeases in the past couple of years, SF4, DMC4 and RE5 they were all ported by the same studio which made the game.

@TikiShootah and net framework engine is one of the most optimized engine for pc just because it runs great doesnt mean graphics is not that great

can anyone help me, i have this game and had play it for sometime. i have 9800gtx+ surely i can maxed everything out, recently i upgrade my driver to the newer version, and the fps drop like crazy, why?

I need a little more detail, there could be a number of problems with you're computer.

eg: hard drive space, some programs which you are running which reduce the perfomace alot.

But as of now theres not much I can reccomend you in you're case du to lack of information.

The only thing I could reccomend is going and trying to downgrade you're drivers.

I don't know how to do it though, try to google it.

i think the newest nvidia driver is still new na dprobably still in beta, i reinstall my older driver and the fan speed go back to normal

I'm using a gamepad, its a Logitech dual anglog one cost around $30 AU I reccomend it, playing this game with a keyboard sucks.

Yea not bad, you will be able to run it at highest settings without any MSAA.

But your FPS will be something like 40-50.

Hmmm most likely if your running the game in DX9 mide then I'd think it would max it out with about 40-50 FPS.

In DX10 you'll have no hope.

Heh dude its alright.

Your laptop has good specs becides the graphics card so it won't run the game at all.

i updated the bios of this mobo. it can handle phenom II procie's. and its lates amd phenom II 955. 3.2 ghz. i think its gonna be out on the market this april 2009. ill be waiting for their 6 cores to be released on the market.

its great running on x4 2.3 ghz phenom quadcore 9650. but i don't like the hypertransport 1.0 of this mobo. not compatible with the phenom coz it has hypertransport 3.0

I dont mean to contradict what you just did but I really dont reccomend this motherboard. For one thing its only has 2 ram slots. On top of that its micro ATX which means its alot smaller then normal motherboards and not as fast. Its cheap but its not very good :S

Oh ok I haven't herd of a full ATX verson of this motherboard. But 4 ram slots is a big improvent.

No problems as far as I can tell its runs fine. The only real problem I have is that COD4 multiplayer doesn't work for some reason on x64 vista. But if you dont play COD4 then its not a problem for you.

Hows the perfomace with the Phenom X4? I was going to buy a new modbo and get an intel quad core but if I could save the money I'd rather keep the same motherboard.

i notice you have the same problem whenever it drops under the 60 fps. its hard to do perfect exceed.

Yeah and since I had fraps recording at 60fps causing the fps to stay more around the 45-50 mark :S
