I'm definitely voting for Obama "80% of Americans would opt into such a program"is misleading. Probably 80% of 80% would like to see such a program, but would select to opt out of having their paychecks truncated in favor of retirement plans. Essentially, this opens up a monopoly of money management by the government-- which may or may not be a good idea.The problem arises if you get a future president like GWB who notices all that money in the program and decides to spend it for the short run.

What impresses me more than anything else about Obama is how comfortable he is in himself. He has a simple, unassuming dignity allied to a sharp mind & a hard focus. He's also got a quiet semse of humour.
