  • this is very surprising!

cole jacobs is really talented, and has that cool laid back ratpack pose!

    a great guitarist aswell.

very interesting interpretation of the song. altering melody lines and improvising is what jazz had always been about. I can't wait to hear some more CJ!

by the way, if any of you are interested to listen to my favorite interpretation of this song, check out the amazing beverly kenney on her 1956 album "sings for johnny smith"!

  • for more music by Cole Jacobs, see his website. Just had a new album released.

  • You are a Very Good Singer--

and you don't sound like anybody else!!!!!--

but you have no good reason to

so drastically alter the melody line of this

    most unique ''ditty''

    This song dates from 1950.

    L K R in Palm Springs

  • very,very nice work

  • Swingin' Jake! Far cry from the old days in Oregon... Keep up the good work, we're proud of you!

    Willy (From Willy U)

  • Hey Jake.... Glad I found you ....send me a line on utube...

  • I really like this guy, but google failed to find anything else by him.

  • >8>p

  • Sounds very nice, but the main melody is so altered that the lyrics are the only thing that seem to tie it to the original rendition.

  • However, I thought the main melody of the guitar is the most attractive part of this music video, lol

  • I just love this song.

I love Dinah Washington and Deborah Cox's versions also.

I can detect 3 people/styles you sound like:

Young Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble and Harry Connick Jr.

    Great Vid! :)
