If Europe wants Barack Obama for President, then why don't they take him? It is interesting to note that when the primaries were being run and BEFORE McCain actually became the Rep. nominee, the Democrats were all over about how he SHOULD be the nominee - he was their FAVORITE Republican, until he got the nod. Now he's some evil bastard who shouldn't EVEN be in the race....As for Obama, I'd have picked HILLARY - She DOES have experience to lead something other than JUST a campaign!!!

McCain was the most liberal of the Republican candidates who stood a real chance. So obviously the Democrats would want him to get the nomination 'cause if they lose the election in November, at least its a 'liberal' conservative and not Romney for example. They are painting him as the devil now because they want to win. Simple as that.

And yes, we hope Obama wins because, at least, he can speech, think and thinks about everyone equally not paying attention at past facts such as russians, supposed terrorist, etc... It looks like you are used to live in a terror state, dominated by the unreal threats your presidents make you believe in.
And yes: USA, UK, Spain, Israel... we got attacked by islamism, but in fact it really was a way to defend and giving us back our imperialism and oil stolen for years.

We have a racism in Europe and much islamism. We don´t care, we respect each other even though sometimes there are social differences and problems, but that doesn´t make us hate each other. We´ve learnt (i hope) from the past World War. In Europe we´ve never seen many differences between democrats and republicans in america, but of course we can´t believe (and makes us laugh) how people like Bush, Palin and more ignorants can get to power and earn confidence and respect.

They know that a black man running the USA would embarass us and destroy us. That is absolutely the opposite to how most Europeans feel... we love America but hate the current administration. And most of us have moved on from your sort of racism, as I believe most Americans have.
We hate to see your compassionless society. We hate the lingering racial tensions. We hate the US's isolationaist stance.
All these things are holding the world back!

I said most Europeans AND Americans have moved on from Showpro24's brand of racism - the sort of racism that presumes that having a black president would be an embarrassment.
I have seen a lot of quite shocking racist comments from Americans re how Obama's sort are only fit to pick cotton etc, and I have heard stories from American friends.
I never said Europe has not got racism - I've heard people around me being racist here in the UK - but on the whole it is becoming less acceptable!
