Where do you work!!??..We get 3.35 an hour, and because of economy no one is eating out anymore, and especially not tipping, people if you can't afford to tip your waitresses/waiters, you can't afford to go out to eat...
oh wow,now i know why americans are such good tippers in the caribbean,because i think they asume that in the caribbean the waiters also dont get a regular salary,but we do actually.The worst tippers are the european,i think because they know we get regular salary,or because they are kinda stiff...anyway,great video ,i laughed!!
Hey I agree with pretty much everything you said except that all teenagers dont tip. I know someone else also mentioned this but, Ive been in costumer service since i was 14 and im almost 19 now and ive been waiting for 2 years but even before then i would tip like 8 -15 dollers on bills 20-40 and 20 on a bill that was 50 its just the type of person i am and im not rich im like lower middle class if anything lol. But I just want to say there is some hope for teenagers...bot alot but some :(
We would not ask for Catchup like mad people if waitstaff didn't walk away and FORGET to bring it (and then never be seen again) :) and yes, I waited tables for years.. lol
im a teen but i serve tables at pappasito's cantina & i realize now what its like to get tables that just suck! & i really have developed a new respect for servers. so, ur stereotype about teens tipping bad doesnt necessarily fit all teens. those that have actually worked their asses off in a restaurant know how it is & know better than to leave $3. i think everyone should be required to wait tables for atleast 4 months of their life.
Also, a good point to make is also that the waitstaff have to tip out. Meaning, waitstaff PAYS a percentage (around 3-5% most places) based on sales to other staff members(bar and hoststaff) SO, if the customer leaves a 10% tip, your waiter/waitress only gets 7-5%. Which sucks.
I work at McDonalds and If a customer pisses my off I just grease up there fries by spreading my sweaty hands over their fries when I place them in a bag...
Knowing their eating fries that I've mangled up with my germs on my hands makes it a more satisifing job for me.

Besides... I don't know of any servers who actually do that. It's just an old story to scare people into tipping.
