It is illegal to carry a gun on you, off of private property, unless you have a conceled firearms permit, but a firearm is a weapon that shoots a bullet with the use of an explosive(gun powder).  Chances are, you would not be breaking the law as long as the orange tip remains but I would not going flashing it around in public lol.
