Cuba has impoverished itself at a social, spiritual, economic and political level. The U.S. trade embargo has had nothing to do with the horrible conditions in Cuba. Cuba trades with every other nation on the globe, and they are still poor and in a state of abysmal deterioration. Wake up!! A reasonable, logical mind could easily see through this: Cuba can conduct commerce with 150 nations plus, but the alledged US Embargo is blamed for the Cuban Government's lack of organization and management skills, and for its implementation of a system (Communism) that's been more than proven to give only shitty results. No incentive to work. 2 million Cubans have left the country. The other 11 million in Cuba are dying to get the hell out of Castro's Banana Plantation.

I don't think so. There maybe more things to buy, but the Cuban bureaucracy can not turn Cuba into a socialist workers state. The nation is a slave to the will of the communist party, even with a market economy Cuba will not be a model nation. Only genuine democratic socialism can turn this island into a model nation. But for that a new revolution is needed, a genuine workers revolution.
