Does anyone could explain me why is it planed to replace Aegis by AMDR? Aegis has been being upgraded for around 40 years and has monopoly in US navy. Is it financially reasonable to develop new system?

and the another real deals are how do you eliminate SSM laucher site when your enemy has sophisticate air-defense (plus they are mobile launchers) and your stealth fighters cannot continuously maintain their readiness long enough (stealth fighter need more hours to maintenance than normal one) to suppress their attack. This is your homework ,not designing the almost useless gadgets that use tax payer's money for nothing.

Even CBG deployed their AEW. 300 missiles with supersonic capability will run to CBG in 10minutes ( estimated from thier max range with mach 2 missiles )and hypersonic will be way faster than these ,if CBG can eliminate them all,do you think they will not have 2nd or 3rd wave ? in 2nd or 3rd wave even obsolete silk worm missiles can kill you .My point is the real deal is not that missiles but the small missile boats that can reach your CBG undetected or at least too late to detect.

this is not real scenario .If this ads refers to China ,China will throw more than 300 SSM to single carrier battle group , 300 sea-skimmers will be detected by radar at not beyond 30-40 miles range (limited by radar horizon especially with low mount phase-array will be nearer than this ) ,and all china c-803 (that is standard in all chinese-warships or land-based SSM system) is supersonic you have only 2 minutes to react . 300 SSM will dried out your missiles

and tear you CBG apart .

With the use of the Moskit in this video, it leaves me with one question...Can this AMDR defeat anything hypersonic? Or only the weaponry that India bought in the mid 80's...

I'm sorry, but the big defense companies are starting to get a bit outdated.... our enemies aren't big superpowers with sukhois and ballistic missiles but small groups of extremists with a desire to kill. These projects seem more to show off than actually defend the country.
