@Gobeldeg00p The theme to this was from Mario and the Legend of the Seven Stars when you fought that crazy ass dude with the four crystals near the jynx dojo. Quite an odd fight in that game I never understood who the boss actually was. I just remember him being hard as FCK!

@Gobeldeg00p This is the second variation of battle music (generally used for a boss or bigger enemy of sorts) from Final Fantasy IV. It may have been re-used elsewhere, but I'm not sure. The actual "Evil Wall" battle from the same game used different battle music, but it was rather repetitive and I like this music way better so I used it instead.

@Ludroth Until MMX3 he was exclusively on Nintendo Systems (with the exception of the Wily Wars, which I think most people like to pretend never happened). This animation isn't about the companies that create games for the systems, it's about the consoles and what has driven their success. Nintendo's success is strongly dependent on series characters (while XBox is more about performance and stats), and for Nintendo, Mega Man was a huge driving force back in the day and still is in ways.

I think this is actually a pretty good representation of the console war between Nintendo and Microsoft...

Microsoft have the better hardware (more powerful, faster, etc) while Nintendo have more variation in their games (ie, the magic), and Microsoft lose more business (health) through their own doing rather than anything Nintendo could inflict on them.

I must admit I'm a Nintendo man, but that's mostly because I'm not a big fan of shooters or sports games, so Nintendo's variety appeals to me.

Just do a Google search for "foobar" which is a music player that works with various formats ripped from games and you can download it for free. Then do a search for "Final Fantasy 4 battle music download" or something like that and you should be able to get it in the right fgormat. For SNES games, Foobar plays the .SPC format.

IMO, the Wii is the best of the current consoles. It knows it's target group, is has a very diverse collection of games, and it's motion controls and multiple addons make it very diverse. The Xbox is okay, but Microsoft isn't really using it to it's full potential. There are so many things it could do that Microsoft won't do. The PS3 I feel is the worst. It fails to live up to the legacy of the PS2, it's overpriced for what it offers, and the Move is probably one of the biggest ripoffs I've seen

My view on the console war:

The consoles you need are a wii, a ds or psp and an xbox or ps3. The wii is special, you only need 1 portable console and the xbox and ps3 are very similar. Not to say nintendo is the best for everyone, but it is to me.
