why would you wanna do that to a drum kick when u can browse for a HQ wave file and select it in to KONG... but what i wanna know is how you sample a chopped file twist it and pitch it...?
why would you wanna do that to a drum kick when u can browse for a HQ wave file and select it in to KONG... but what i wanna know is how you sample a chopped file twist it and pitch it...???
that glitching clicking sound you get is from latency, not processor or ram of cpu, its your audio bus (internal)... have you tried using ASIO? it does like internal routing to give you no latency.. thats what causes that for sure.. ASIO is like the best thing ever especially if you use reason.. its the best audio driver in the world by far. if you havent used it, it will change your life man
@Nervejunktion Ebonics lmao, really, this me being real not fake about what I know, but if you dont like the way I talk, deal wit it , ya kno what i'm sayin'
I love this program! I tired to use this program & i made way to much noise my mom came in my room and clocked me over the head with my midi controller :(
run the cable from the connection underneath the "number", which is label left(mono) to the sampling input, then flip the rack around and go to an empty drum channel and click the sampling button (it looks like an waveform) and play and voila!
@sharronefreeman22 if you have Reason 5 or 6 all you have to do is break the internal routing and route the audio to the sampling input and record you redrum patterns to audio
@coxbeats08 Ok THANKS so much but i actually figured that out. If u could do a video on how to stop your sample and make it stop overlapping, PLEASE do that 1!!! Also on how to record ur final arrangement b/c it never seems to do so win i press the button... THANKS SO MUCH let me no win u post it:)
@mr44hz well well well you must be one of the thousands that cant program your sounds, and you depend on a damn VST preset, it aint what you have its how you work it...its not a "gimme software" you have to work for your sound...mp3...seriously get a converter 24bit 48khz wav files is what i fux wit....thanks my hater...i'm glad you watched! *facepalm*
@mr44hz You would be surprised how many producers in various fields of electronic music use Reason. It's not as trash as you think, it's just a different approach to a DAW. But I guess you just don't understand that. If you don't like it, stick to the stuff you do love, create some god damn music and stop being such a twat.
how about if I want to sample from other people's songs..Like let's say I like the way a clap or a snare sounds from someone else's track and I want to use it in my own song
you can just add a splitter patch bay to the reason rack, it's called spider, then connect the main outs to that and you can send another pair to the sampler in, no outboard hardware required
is the beat thang in ASIO stand alone mode in this vid? my pc can only do this config if beat thang is running mme or directwave. you must have a bad ass computer, figuring in the fact that your screen recorder was running in the background. maybe it's my computer, it's not the best...only an i5 650 quad core. anyway, for what it's worth, it's a great idea, although you will definitely degrade certain frequencies whenever you throw any stock soundcard stuff in the mix.
Every video on youtube is about sampling drums/voice/mic/or a reason sound ALREADY IN THERE!!! HOW THE F&^$% DO I SAMPLE IN REASON LIKE A MPC!!! WITH MP3?? CHOPPING SONGS???? SOMEBODY POST A VIDEO FOR THAT
Just a tip man, the first rule of recording digital audio is never clip the audio input. U never want your meters going in to the red on recording. That is an old analog technique which causes nothing but a clip noise in your audio. If u notice when u zoomed in u can see the waveform is cut off. A professional would never use those samples they are basically ruined. Keep this in mind. Otherwise good vid.
yo mr cox whas good my brother...my question is can you have samples in the kong and have them cut each other off similar to the mpc and trk them into record..
HELP!!!! I don't have any audio inputs available! Meaning when i connect the "sampling input" to the "audio input" the light above and bellow the audio input is red. Which means connected but not available. My speakers and work fine and I can record with other software. Any ideas would be much appreciated!

sorry if im being dumb here but why are the drum hits in drumthang going out line and then back in? why arent you just recording the plug in internally?
@riskybusiness80 oh right!!! well basically reason's audio hardware won't allow it to connect to a plug in. there IS a thing called rewire... but it might confuse you. in 6 years it seems you have progressed as far as a retarded child with their math homework
@joshbrill88 not once did i mention using any fucking plugin with reason you fucking nonce. infact i didnt mention reason at all, soundforge could record any sound from any AU/VST which could then be dumped in nnxt, redrum or kong, you fucking retard, no need for routing anything to anything, thus my point
@riskybusiness80 at the risk of repeating myself, soundforge IS the vst, REASON WILL NOT ALLOW ROUTING. REASON WILL NOT ALLOW ROUTING. riskybusiness seriously, you dont get it? YOU FUCKING MORON I'LL FUCKING PISS ON YOUR COMPUTER ... nah im joking, i was just trying to wind you up the whole time mwhahaha
@riskybusiness80 he's a fucking amateur, just like you. DON'T YOU GET IT? REASON CAN'T WORK WITH PLUG-INS!!!!!!!!!!!! ASK PROPELLERHEAD ABOUT IT, THEY DON'T DO FUCKING PLUG-INS... NOW QUITE HASSLING ME
@riskybusiness80 there are going line out from the computer into my interface...only becuz if I want to take the audio coming from the computer i can run it thru outboard hardware to beef up the signal before going into the interface
@coxbeats08 THANK YOU at least you under stood me, im considering the Fat Track or one of the SSL strips for this, dont want to bother with a big mixer, we'll see
