I loved THIS!!! My dad taught me Thelema under a Christian guise ( seriously) and I think Crowley created a religion that lets you live without dogma. Also, I agree about the holy guardian angel.

in Crowleys book Scarlet and the Beast Crowley said "A male child of perfect innocence and high intelligence is the most satisfactory and suitable victim."

also in "The World's Tragedy, he openly admitted his bisexuality and praised sex between men."

with Crowley as your prophet you cant deny these teachings run deep in Thelma

93: On the contrary, anyone who actually studies Thelema knows its the Law of Life, Love, Liberty, and Light where each person is a star and their formula is "love under will." Children are their own stars with their own wills which should be respected. Symbolic metaphors shouldnt be mistaken for literal statements - the same silliness happened to the Old and New testaments and look what happened... Either way read some articles in the Journal of Thelemic Studies and you'll see none of the above

regarding the angel .. I disagree with you and I am siding with Crowley on this one ...

I KNOW they can do things in the physical once you learn to open the gate.

I have seen manifestations such as a key that was found by a friend after a request was made .. it happened to open all the doors in the 100 year old house I just moved into ..

if Crowley did not get results then why did he spend so much time on this, have you read A. C. and the ouija board ?

93: As far as I can tell, it sounds like you are speaking more about Goetic demons than any kind of Angel. The Angel doesnt allow you to find lost keys but rather is a metaphor for Spiritual Attainment... There isnt some kind of 'Angel' out there who whispers in your ear. In fact, Crowley mentioned in 'Temple of Solomon the King' that the name 'HGA' is one he picked because he thought the name was so ridiculous no one would analyze it or take it seriously... Obviously he was wrong.

There is certainly something to your view. In Peer Gynt, the main character peels an onion in a symbolic attempt to find the self but find that when he gets to the center, there's nothing there - its only layers with no center. That being said, the onion peeling is a nice metaphor for peeling back dogma and non-genuine parts of ourselves. Its not cutting off things that 'offend thee' but those parts which are not conducive to the Will of the whole... IAO131

G.I. Gurdjieff refers to these different layers as different "I's". Such as when you say "I wouldn't do that" ...at another time under different circumstances that same "I" would do such and such. But we as individuals have many different "I's". In a psychedelic sense, it's the many wardrobes of the Ego that society requires us to wear, such as Teacher, American, Republican, Christian...all the "roles" we're required to play.
