Yes, I found the re-mastered 2 CD set called "New York Dolls Rock 'N Roll" to be superior in sound and have all of the great tunes. It's the CD set with the cartoon of a cowgirl holding pistols. If their albums had this sound quality back then, the Dolls might have had greater success.
The song is "Private World" and it might be on their first album called "The New York Dolls" but also try "Too Much Too Soon" on Amazon and see if the song is there.
