Beethoven wrote music. This is a SONG -as in SINGING. Rap is not singing unless the rapper stole ("sampled") it along with the bass line he stole from real music.

It's not a matter of what I'm "in to". If someone refers an obvious country song as one of the first heavy metal songs, they are way off base.

There was a collage of Baretta fragments which functioned as a videoclip. Of course I was very very impressed with this when I was 6 or 7 and I still like the song as one of my favourites.

I looked this up in a Billboard top 40 book I have, and surprisingly it never made the top 40. This was such a great song, I'm surprised at that. It has "hit single" written all over it. Maybe it just wasn't issued as a single.

It was released as a single,but did not make the Hot 100.The theme was released by Rhythm Heritage(who also did Theme from S.W.A.T.) as "Baretta's Theme" and it peaked at #20 in June '76!
