WF - That's exactly what we do. Here's a tip. I use heavy duty adhesive velcro. The loop/soft goes on the nose on the glider (2x3" length is good). The hook piece goes on a piece of plastic 'card' material. That card is tied to the string attached to the plane. We also use fishing swivels on the line to keep it from tangling.
Hi, when you say Loop is on the nose of the glider, hook on the string, what do you mean?
Because im thinking about just getting two pieces of Velcro, one piece goes on the front of the glider and the other on the end of the string, and when you go high you just yank the Velcro.
WF - It's velcro. Very easy to set up and you only need about 1/2" to secure the aircraft. Loop is on the nose of the glider, hook on the string. I typically "loop" the glider off the line. We've never had any problems.
