I think it's authentic for the following reasons:

A) He is paddling as he goes off the edge in multiple shots. Dummies don't paddle, last time I checked, but hey, I could be behind the times.

2) I remember reading an article about it in the paper. Papers don't print falsities, right?

D) I don't think they let you claim "world record" status unless it's legit. Too legit to quit.

iv) The place he popped up afterwards makes perfect sense after being shoved so far down.

I'm not saying that this stunt is impossible. I'm just saying that the video was highly edited to make it look like Tyler went over the falls himself. As far as I know it was a dummy in the Kayak. Play the video several times yourself, and hit your pause button frequently to catch as much of a 'frame by frame' that you can and take a closer look at the whole thing. Especially at the end, where Tyler suddenly appears off to the side of the waterfall casually floating all by his lonesome.

I have my doubts about this video folks. In my opinion it was highly edited to make it look like someone (Tyler) went over the falls, when actually it was a dummy. In one part of the video it shows the Kayaker "suddenly" over the top of the falls and about 25 feet down into it. It does not show the APPROACH to the falls. I think .... they put a dummy in the Kayak to take the fall.
