Sorry I posted a comment about carry permits on a different video,it should have been here,but let me elaborate what I was saying.Basically,since I have a "mental illness"period,of any kind,I cannot get a carry permit.I could buy a handgun because I was never institutionalized etc,so they can't infringe my rights,usually that is the only mental restriction a state will have,but MI takes it one step further to class all mental illnesses as one,so my OCD prohibits me from CCW,but i'm fine to own.

Pennsylvania does not issue Concealed Carry Permits. That is a License to Carry Firearms. There are many other reasons you need it besides carrying concealed. Carrying during a declared state of emergency for example.

Open Carry in PA is legal, however to carry openly in Philadelphia you need a license to carry firearms.

In Ohio you have to take a 12hr class (2 hr range,10hr class room) pass the test which is pretty easy if you pay attention. 3 of us went at the same time and we all scored 100% on the test. Then you have to go to the Sheriff's Department and get your picture and finger prints taken. They do a federal background check on you, and when that comes in they call you to get your license (may take up to 45 days) usually a couple weeks. $55 for license, I paid $39 for the class but I've seen $250

Just to add, in MO you can conceal carry and you need to take a class and then pay a fee designated by your county (around 76 bucks or less) then do a background check and show you completed a conceal carry safety/instruction class. So it can run under 200 bucks, but some counties are different. I am very against open carry, it makes you a target for crackheads who want an easy $500 to grab off your dead body. Or worse, a few grand!

The Ohio cards are pretty nice, they're nice and thick just like a drivers license. Getting one in Ohio requires a 12 hour course. (learning all aspects of guns, laws and shooting range time are required to get your NRA certificate ) You then have to take it the sheriff's office, apply for a license and they do a background check. It can take anywhere from 1 to 4 weeks to get your license. You have to pick it up from the sheriff's office too. Well worth it though!
