  • I'm not a hater of the GT-R, I like the car. But I've seen plenty of Camaros and Mustangs running 9 and 10 second quarter miles for far less money than what a GT-R cost. Whats the point in spending that kind of money on a GT-R to go drag racing? The car was designed to be a road course car that handles and breaks great. Just like a Z06 and ZR-1. To much is put on zero to 60 and quarter mile, mean while if you can't drive a much less powerful car will take you on a road course.

  • @Shifterkartsforlyfe Twin clutch automated manual. One clutch is for gears 1,3 and 5 and one is for 2,4 and 6. It's computer controlled so you don't need two pedals. When one clutch is being used for one gear the other is ready in the next gear.

    I don't mean to burst your bubble. The Zr1 was tested vs gtr by motortrend. The zr1 beat it in all the test they used. The test included base hp, 0-60,1/4th, braking, and around a track. The zr1 won all the test. Just type in zr1 vs gtr.

  • LS2 and GT-R motor both have potential. No reason to hate on beautifully engineered engines. The trans is shitty for obvious reasons. It's the first of it's kind; therefore there is no guarantee that it won't break down any time soon for who knows how long. What does real power even mean? Making a GT-R 600HP as opposed to an LS2 that has also 600HP, in your case, doesn't have real power compared to the LS2? That sums up to what you just said.

  • Uh, no, it doesn't sum up what I said in the least. In response to someone telling me my motor is shit, I simply stated that it has more potential than the GT-R engine. It's a simple fact, there is no replacement for displacement. You can add boost, you can add nitrous, but at the end of the day the larger cube will produce more power.
