We do transport, and my drama-king kids cry when we have to pass the dogs over to the next driver. I can't imagine them (or me!) dealing with giving up foster dogs.
Ah, you have helped me rescue these BCs so many times. Tears are allowed. They are gorgeous animals... and we adore them. Two more are dependent on you to transport, and they will follow in Mia's and Bonnie's foot prints! Say Yeah and smile. You are a true rescuer.
Thank you so much for the work that you do. Thank you for teaching your kids the love and joy that an animal is. I'm glad that Bonnie found her forever home. I don't know how you did it, cause I didn't even know the dog and I'm crying sad tears for your goodbye, but happy ones for her new life with her loving family!
Thank you for your comment. Letting Bonnie go was not easy for any of us, but it was the right thing to do. She now has a new loving family and 7 acres to explore!
Ah, the wonders of fostering. I had one of those "special ones" back in december. A beautiful yellow lab that was going to be put down for behavior issues. I did end up letting her go, though.
Great story Gisele! Fosters are so few, thank you for making Bonnies life better. I know I'd get too attached to a lot of fostered dogs and have a hard time giving them to a new great family!
Great Video as always.
Like Lightspeed said, it's a pleasant change from those Asian dog torturing videos...those get me so mad too!
Thanks for your comment. I really really thought I was going to cry, but I didn't until I came home and did this video. I was suprisingly happy! Very Happy! This family has waited for Bonnie for so long, but thought she had been already adopted... when I called them they screamed when they realized that my Bonnie was the same Bonnie that they had always wanted! Long story, but I'm so proud of her. She was, what we call "A Good Save"! Yes?
Yes, Gisele, she was a good "save"! Not only did I cry for her good fortune, but I had viewed a video of a Korean F*** torturing, and beating a poor dog before slaughtering it...and I desperately needed a happy story. All these animal cruelties hurt me to the core, and my spirit will never be the same; I feel so helpless. That dog could have been over here, and things might have been ok. The more I see, the more hatred I feel seething inside of me, but I can't change it.
5 homes in 1 year.... Bonnie is just over a year old! I said enough! She needs to run and be part of a pack, then part of a family, enough! I would not give her up till she was ready. Too many adopt BC puppies without knowing what they are really all about.
@reckless1962 Absolutely! People need to really understand what they will have to bring to the relationship with their bc's. They are such an intelligent and active breed and of course need lots of stimulation.
You and your beautiful family are incredible for giving not only Bonnie a second chance but so many others too. Thank you for caring. By the way, I posted this video on my face book page so others could enjoy watching this beautiful story.
Okay, the very first video that I'm actually In! My Bonnie, that I have fostered for over 2 months, I adore her, and so proud of her that she finally has her forever home. Isn't she beautiful?
Great
