If you were suspicious of bruising and cuts on your child, why would you send them back? I don't care if there is court ordered visitation, I'd document injuries and get a new attorney before I'd send my child back to the home of someone I thought was abusing my child. Don't tell me I wouldn't, because I did do just that. It's called being a mother!!
@eyeswideopen1993 she did report it according to broomcr and the judge said that if she didn't let Lily see her father then she would lose custody over Lily. Thats how screwed up the judicial system is.
They need to start kicking some of these judges off the bench shoot how they made it to become a judge beats the heck out of me cause the judge them selves are murders dummys

I't makes me sick to be honest.. I would never have sent my daughter back.... after the first time she found those injuries she should have taken pictures both before and after she had spent time at her dads house as some kind of proof !!!

You just know the stepmother was jealous of Lily or just plain didn't want her because Lily wasn't her child. While it's good that Lauren didn't deny what happened or make excuses, why didn't she go to the police? Why didn't she question Lily's father and if Lily was able to talk, why she didn't she at ask Lily at least once too? Just heartbreaking!
@Solitemel Thank you for your support for my baby girl. I asked Jeff about the bruises, he said they were child's play. I didnt call the police because I was told by my attorney not to call the police or CPS. I shouldnt have listened and my daughter would still be here.

So sad. Why didn't the mother report the suspected abuse?? I know if my 2 year old came home from her fathers with bruises and strange behaviour I would be asking questions and reporting it. I feel for her mother, but I feel both parents failed in their duty of care for that little girl.
@tulipchic34 I agree with you.The mother should have stopped those visits after she saw the bruises and reported it so they could investigate.If i were her and that was my child i wouldnt have allowed him visits until i figured out what was happening and if the father didnt like it..oh well take me to court then.We as mothers have to protect our kids at all costs even from family if they are hurting them or allowing them to get hurt.

I was told by the judge that if I didnt hand her over I would be put in jail and he would give Jeff full custody. Then what kind of life would my daughter have. I was told by my attorney on numerous occassions not to call CPS or autoritites because it was not enough evidence. She told me if I did I could get full custody taken away.
