This soundtrack has been with me all of my life. I have bought the album numerous times. I have bought is on LP, cassette, cd and then on DVD. It survives all. I don't know of any other album that can still sound this good 40 years after it was recorded. My way of thinking is that I am not older than you, but I have had many more years to enjoy music like this. I hope you enjoy the music of my generation.

I dreamed this song. The next morning, when I woke up, I knew I had dreamed up a song, but I couldn't remember it. Later that day, it vividly came back to me, and I sat down with mu guitar and strummed out the chords, and wrote down the lyrics. Several months later, someone played the song for me, and I realized that it already existed.

This same experience happened to me with at least two other songs, as far as I know.

The first time i ever heard this album...It was 1981 and I was sitting in a friends basement on 2 hits of acid and smoking some marijuana.He had six speakers hooked up down there and just cranked this album.I will NEVER forget that day 31 years ago for the rest of my life.It was a pure adrenaline rush..both mentally and visually! Scary and exciting! Boy those were the days...miss times like that! I agree with buddy about the golden brick wrapped in bacon.Nothing will top that day for me!!!

My favourite pink floyd song, truly awesome. I used to hate them because they were so moody and all I wanted to here was strait out rock that was heavy and very loud. But then I fell in love with Rush and listened to all the albums and long songs. I then could learn to stand instrumentals that can kinda speak for themselves with the music, no need to music cuz I could feel it. THAT'S WHY I LOVE PINK FLOYD SOOOO MUCH NOW!!!
