zim isnt really captured, its an illusion that zim created to get back at dib for throwing a muffin. watch dib's wonderful life of doom, it'll explain ^^

Zim was in that tubey thingey beacuse it was a hologram projected by zim into dib's head.He was trying to figure out who threw the "pork cow"(muffin) at his head.
