His kids and land were taken from him and he was stricken with the worst skin diseases known to man and when his friends told him to renounce God and die, he refused because he knew God was almighty and just and that such a God could not have done that to him. Also, as to God not existing: I challenge you to read the first couple of chapters of Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis.

@Leetlebanana I tend to like songs which you can link to your own life and religious songs seem like they're trying to grab/brainwash as many people into their religion or as I call 'em, a cult. So, in that sense they do link to my life because having Christianity ramed down your throat everyday kind of fits. I never listen to anything Christian except a really good rock band called Skillet. I myself don't mind if a song has curse words or what not because they link to the anger in life, mostly.

People continue to deny him because you can't win an argument to prove his existence and end up saying "you'll go to hell.' or threaten us. It makes me laugh inside and out.

@AyakoSapphirePhoenix I have a few Chirstian friends and none are optimistic or happy. One has just recently self-harmed etc.

My childhood was ruined because of Christianity. My parents abused me and the church I went to for help just ignored the fact and didn't care. They punished me for questioning them, having learning disablities etc. I tryed being Christian once and asked God to help my friends life get better, she killed herself in the end. God didn't care or is imaginary.

I don't think you were a true child of God in the first place, which means you were not forgiven. Sinners that aren't forgiven can only pray for His abundant forgiveness and mercy. Now, you go around worshipping stupid Satan... You don't believe in God, but you bow down to his adversary? The enemy that is DESTROYING you?

@AyakoSapphirePhoenix - Chill. You are in no place to judge. All people have tough times with God, and because they have fallen away, doesn't make them less important to God. They have made their decision (unfortunately) and only God can help them now. They've turned away, now we must pray for them. Screaming at them for making mistakes won't convince them that there is a God...if anything, this will convince them that Christians are ignorant and mean. Not very welcoming at all.

Your friend might've been depressed..it's a chemical imbalance...nothing to do with God. Medication was probably needed. I'm sorry you've had a tough life, but you shouldn't turn on God due to the Church's problems...they will be punished if you are indeed telling the truth.
