@clownie23 yup, all chick hen are like this, it is an exploit not a full custom firmware.

HEN = homebrew enabler. you have to put psp into sleep mode to keep the cfw on psp. check settings to set up your sleep timer

chick hen r2 is a created file to crash the psp so we can use it's recovery menu to install or enable the use of homebrew/cfw.

The reason why chickHEN doesn't work for you is because it doesn't work with memory cards with more than 2 GB. I tried doing it with my 4GB memory card and it would never work. Then when I did it with the 2 GB memory card, it works.

sorry but that is incorrect. i have used a 4gb, 8gb, and a photofast adapter with dual 16gb micro sdhc cards. it takes many tries, most people don't get it even within the first 30 tries sometimes. there are chick hen r2 mods as well which may work faster. but all in all you just have to keep trying.

when you have chick hen r2 on, yup just go to the pic folder, go to the "tiff image" and you don't even need to select it, just scroll oto it and your psp should reboot into chick hen r2, then you can continue to part 3. thanks

not all homebrew will work on HEN r2, more will work on 5.03 gen-a. remember if you turn off your psp or the batts die you will need to redo the HEN loading on the psp.

you don't need the mods, they are for people who are having lots of trouble with the chick hen r2 tiff image. you need to have either 5.03m33-6 or 5.03 gen-a to play downloaded games, so follow my vids i have one that shows up to part 4 which is how to play iso on psp 3000 with 5.03 gen-a

chick hen r2 is very safe, it is when you add homebrew apps that try to use the flash0 memory that may brick a psp. doing it the way i have set up in the tutorials is very safe and you don't need to spend any more money. lol

ok i done all that now it says on the system information VERSION 5.03 CHICKEN R2 and after i turns it of and back on again it doesnt have the CHICKEN R2 next to it what do i do?

once you use chick hen and the cfw you shouldn't turn off the psp. just leave it in sleep mode by flicking the power switch instead. if you turn off the psp or let the batt die you will have to redo the steps for chick hen and cfw installer. once you finish part three i have one more vid shows you how to change to umd mode to play iso games downloaded onto ms.

1 month of trying, then it worked, then i had to do it agaon cause my bat died, that time took 6-10 tries. don't select the tiff image in the photo folder, just scrool onto it and leave it.

yes as i have mentioned and posted, when chick HEN is installed, just put psp into sleep mode. if battery dies or you turn off sp fully than you just need to re load the HEN and so on.(i keep all the files on my ms just incase it dies, lol)

i saw a weird green glitch and then my psp rebooted and then i went to the cfw enabler i changed the umd driver to iso and i could play my iso's!!!!

There is an easier way, just erase the 4 scrambled egg pictures and leave the slim file all by itself. Then when you click photo it should work.

well my friend just got a psp 3000 and did all this got like some 500 theme pack that his friend gave him and all that..so hes been helping me out to..but now im im trying to get a game to work ff7 and i dont know what to do and hes like figer it out yourself

when chcick when was loaded, i opened the picture menu on psp, opened the chick hen folder, and went to the last one (the tiff). then left it on that one till it went funky green color and booted into ckick hen.

When running cfw do you always need to run ChickHEN R2 first and then load the cfw? Cause I noticed the cfw goes away if you turn off the PSP. I watched your other video on how to run the .iso and it works thanks.

yes on 5.03 ofw needs chick hen r2 for cfw. and if you turn it off yes you have to re load the hen and cfw, but you can just put it in sleep mode. thanks
