true that! second contest he picked by content and not subject. next one was pure talent not subject or content. he does each one fairly! but this might take longer because someone messed with one of the video entries and that has to be sorted first. one of the people had their video stolen and reposted under another account. feel bad for mark having to sort it but worse for the person who's entry got ripped off.

Could someone explain to me what Copy right means? I'm just a little lost on the subject, and with all this talk Mark does on it, I just don't get it? Is anyone else lost too.

a copyright is a right, that allows you to copy some ones intellectual work; this right can be given only by the author of that work / his/her agents and if any one copies a work without his permission, then he/she could be hauled up in a court of law by the author of that work for violating his copy right and made to pay a hefty compensation for the violation..any one's work is automatically deemed to have acquired a copy right when published and lasts for upto 50 (?) years after his death ..

..contd.. so when you want to copy and use someone's work, you have to write to him/ her and request him to grant you a right to use his/her work, and he may give you the permission for a fee. There are different types of fees for different types of usages- single usage, multiple, exclusive, non exclusive, etc.. they may even give it for free if the usage is for ( say ) research or any non profit usage..copy right laws are for ensuring that the authors get rewards for their work.. :-)

C'mon. The vaction was not such a big deal. We are trying to re-schedual it, and its just up to the mountains (I live in Denver, CO. I'ts not that big a deal here). Of course family comes first, its just everyone in my family believed in me, and the prize is $350 worth of preciouse video equiptment. How does this video get 19,000 views and so far there's only 37 entries. Are people really that apathetic? They should go into your archives and watch the video you posted about the lighting kit! There'd be WAY more entries if they knew what TUBETAPE was offering. This is an amazing prize! In my estimation, it's the best contest reward you've ever offered.
