  • Yes, this was done in the Will Rogers Follies and it is still done at Radio City at the Christmas Show (with different music of course). Wonderful number.

  • Whiteman had taste!

  • I wonder if Tommy Tune (re the almost exact same number in Will Rogers Follies) saw this...

  • You can see this number with different music in today's Christmas Show at Radio City. I kid you not. It is electrifying.

  • @chem100

Interesting, in that the Russell Markert Girls went to New York after this film, and became the Rockettes.

  • I'm willing to bet the release is waiting on content. The crappy "interlocutor" (there's a word that rightly died with the 20's) is replaced in various foreign versions (a french guy, a german, etc). Of greatest interest is the Hungarian version...hosted by...you guessed it, Bela Lugosi. I'd sell my soul to see that one. He'd buy it, too :)

  • Its fantastic!!! I wish we could all E-mail Universal and get them to release King Of Jazz on DVD.

  • this clip is tooooooo short!

  • It was great. Thanks.

  • LOL, here you are again...this time with the dancing ladies. Am I surprised?

  • The famed Russel Markert girls who later became the Rockettes of Radio City Music Hall. Thanks for posting.
