Hey Adey, you're wearing a Dainese suit right? Ever thought about doing a short video of your riding gear you wear/use? Love your videos btw, keep up the good work and ride safe!
i like it, good riding, but you could try to cover your front brake with one or two fingers so when you're braking to enter a corner you can also blip the throttle to revmach while you're downshifting. More videos, faster, ride safe :D
awesome, but seems like you ride pretty dangerous, I mean far over to oncoming line, specially in lefthand corners, I shall not be so negative because it may be that you saw through the corners, but we didn't because of the camera angle, stay safe!
@COD4SNIPER2 Looks like he just caught a little air under the front wheel coming out of a turn and then set it down a little crossed up. It is pretty common if you push a bike hard at all.
Whats up Adey, I am Johnny5's lil bro. I noticed at 3:04 when you take Pauls turn it looks like you get into a nice controlled slide, looks cool. Great riding!
@AlmightyGTR I'm quite relaxed hence no exclamation point. Plus I was being sarcastic...which always gets lost in translation thru text. I just don't care to explain afterwards. This is the only time since we are having dialog for the first time.
Have you been on this road before? I can tell the GTR driver does not suck. Any faster and he would have been all over the road. He did a good job negotiating our pace within his lane. If you can do better...I'd like to see the video. Cheers
@Adeysworld The GTR driver was driving it like I would, if it was a muscle car, which has a heavy front and a lot of oversteer, due to suspension and weight balance issues. I do understand the safety concern, but he did not push it to the limit at all. He was braking a little early, he was off the throttle till he would see a straight line. So he was losing time on the turns, which is exactly what GTR is built for. He needs to use GTR's strength. A bike would destroy a GTR if he doesn't do that.
@AlmightyGTR Genius, this was an open road. The car can't be pushed to the limit without endangering lives. There is zero room for error not to mention you gotta be on the lookout for jackasses probably like yourself that cross yellow or someone that just happens to lose control and is in your lane. If you have a GT-R outside of the Gran Turismo video game, get in touch with me and I'll be happy to school your ass. But you don't. So you won't. So until then, how about a nice warm cup of STFU?
@tradervic So, the car wasn't pushed to the "limit", but the title says, "Battle". So, please describe any battle which did not have the limits pushed. If it was a cruise, then call it a cruise. Don't give it funny names for higher hits. Stay true to what you say. Don't be a bitch and try to smart talk. If you have any skills, show up at Autobahn country club Joliet. I am there every single weekend till november. Just look for a white 2012 black edition. I am sick of these keyboard heroes.
Smh, if this was a video of two cars chasing eachother all the riders would be bitching and crying about how the two drivers of the cars are putting everyone at risk, but since theres a motorcycle in this video its ok? Its "cool"? Pfft!
@varulalin My R1 is stronger because of tuning. So I can't make clear comparison. But I will say the Apriliia is a beast in "T" mode. I'd like to ride one tuned like mine;)
Feeling is different because of size and chassis. RSV4 is super narrrow with shorter wheelbase. It's extremely nimble, but has to be ridden hard to get good feeling from it. It's a pure race bike plain and simple. Stock to stock..I choose RSV4.
nice riding, bro. From the lead car camera, it seems faster than on the bike. Maybe it's the low RPM sound, but toward the end I did notice that you could see the first digit in the speedometer. Was that set for MPH or KPH?
Adey, how did the suspension feel for you? From the video it looks like the bike was really moving around underneath you, maybe just set too soft for your weight (being a tall guy and all).
@TSR5000 The suspension was fine. The problem was that it was lowered in the front making it want to tuck everywhere. I'd like to ride it again setup properly.
The chassis is much stiffer than the R1. Making it less forgiving on uneven surfaces. Like a race bike, this bike doesn't make sense until you push it to the limit. Sucks because it's not a road friendly bike. Track monster for sure.
@almst1 It's a tight road, so you'll never see the tach anywhere near redline. But yes, the RSV4 has tons of torque. AND I was riding in the softer riding mode "S".
@Adeysworld That would be true of sport bikes but try some of the nakeds. The Aprilia Tuono v4 is the upright naked version of this bike and the BMW k1300r is a beast.
Test out the BMW k1300r. I'd like to see one of those on Mulholland.
Unfortunately I didn't know how to put the bike in "T" mode until the following day. So this race was done with the bike in "S" mode, which made the engine feel soft and neutered. "T" mode REALLY changed my impression of the bike the following day. Lets just say I really got to see how those brembos worked. The torque is unbelievable, and the engine note with the stock exhaust was electrifying. All it needs is a smoother map in "T" mode. Top notch motor...
Like others here and I'm sure on the board, did you get the Ape? I, too, would like to know how it compares to your modded R1 (since mine has some similar mods now). They have similar weight and power from most spec sheets I see, but perhaps I'm mistaken :). Obviously the Aprilia is skinnier.
@soap0688 Can't really compare the two since mine is modded. My bike in it's current state makes the Aprilia RSV4 feel not so special. But stock to stock, I'd say the RSV4 is better package out the crate.
@soap0688 The price gap is considerably small if you factor in what you get Traction Control,Wheelie Control, Launch Control, and Brembo brakes for only 3-4k more. Plus the italian craftsmanship...this thing is a beaute.
Nice everyone!
