I used to play in this with mate's in the 60's. I remember an old steamtrain we called the" wee green pug"go across the old Iron Bridge from the Middleton works. I didn't know about this tunnel though, or we would have been in there too. Love your work.

Me and my mates done this around 83,84. Shale bing still on top of it too, Shiter! Harder to get in coz there used to be a big old metal grate at the arch entrance on the sewage works side you went in.

We used to walk over the top of the arches of the old iron bridge over the road too. Man that was a deathtrap. Good times.
