I do not understand why India does not do in Kashmir what China has done in Tibet. To secure their land move 100,000 people, in this case Hindus, into Kashmir and revitalize the tourist industry which would draw people from all over the world. This has worked in Tibet and maybe it is working in Israel. I'm sure India could find many volunteers.

@irshaad86 I am not an Indian... I do know about the partition and how Kashmir became an Indian State... so be it. Only because of the religion of the State is Kashmir being disputed. There are several states in India which could also be disputed based upon religious populations. Kashmir is a border state of Pakistan and has Pakistan's support in their attempt at leaving India. Kashmir was a much greater state in the 50s and 60s than it is today... sadly.

I do not understand why India does not do in Kashmir what China has done in Tibet. To secure their land move 100,000 people, in this case Hindus, into Kashmir and revitalize the tourist industry which would draw people from all over the world. This has worked in Tibet and maybe it is working in Israel. I'm sure India could find many volunteers.

@irshaad86 I am not an Indian... I do know about the partition and how Kashmir became an Indian State... so be it. Only because of the religion of the State is Kashmir being disputed. There are several states in India which could also be disputed based upon religious populations. Kashmir is a border state of Pakistan and has Pakistan's support in their attempt at leaving India. Kashmir was a much greater state in the 50s and 60s than it is today... sadly.

@irshaad86 i have enough kashmiri pandit friends to tell me about their painful experience ,thank you .i can relate to them because my paternal grandfather lost his entire family and his homeland in punjab ,pakistan during partition .i am sympathetic towards the hindu population of jammu and buddhist population of ladakh beacause they love us and want to remain a part of india .why should i be sympathetic towards the kashmiri muslims who wants to separate from us ?contd.

@Pkr our constitution does not allow settlement of non kashmiris in kashmir. it is same in the case of north eastern states .we cant go and settle there .but they can come and settle in any part of india .you will find kashmiri muslims doing roaring business in all parts of india while kashmiri hindus the original inhabitants of the state were thrown out of kashmir by kashmiri muslims .hindus similarly lost their homeland in pakistan and bangladesh .
