  • dude needs some ditdajow for that hand... :-/

  • He is holding a ancient identification called 'Hopeh'.

it is a wooden stick, written personal informations to certify the identity. since many people were advised to bring it all the times, some are guessing that it developed as weapon because it was easy to handle, bring and use

  • what's the name of the weapon he's holding in the pictures?

  • I trained in martial arts but this guy is crazy.

  • ...he snaps the marble like chopsticks......

  • what is the master´s name?

  • wats this song?

  • His palm... that's crazy. I would never train myself like that. I don't think it is healthy to train one's palm to that thick...

  • @billyswong your an hommo loll

  • that is the most GEY staff ever!!!

  • In one of the interviews that he did, he said that he trained his hands for 2 years in the mountain by hitting trees. The reason his hand is so thick is not because his hands are padded with bone, but because of layer that he got after training. About the layer, you can feel everything like normal, except that you don't feel pain when striking, which is why he can break marbles even with just an open hand.

  • Props for awesome background music!

  • What's the name of the music played?

  • hes is a beast!!

  • holy shit lol i wonder how long hes been breaking the bones of his hands for.. that shit looks like a warhammer

  • It actully Take about 10years, wif atlease 12hours aday of training. than your hand will be as hard as a Rock.

Well ofcos you dont just Train your Hands. XD Leg, body, mind and sprite..

  • ooo finally i found someone who pad their hands with thick bone, nice

  • hes got hammer for hands...

  • I notice that version of cannon rock in the background lol =P sounds cool.

  • when he fights the opponent hes not showing much but i\his breakingis awesome.

  • ouch that went bad

  • So Terkkyun dose contain hand and arm strikes, Very nice. All that swelling was that damage from him hitting the boards has he developed massive amounts of calluses on his hands from hitting hard stuff too much?

  • its his hand being padded with bones - if you break your bones they will grow again and and reattach making it thicker and stronger, so basically yea hitting hard stuff and breaking his bones then regrowing and breaking them again >_>

  • He's name is Jang Tae Sik? Why don't I find any information about him?

  • You are wrong. There are more than 1 style in Taekkyon unlike Taekwondo or Karate and that is sports style designed for sparring purpose. He hurt his hand because he wasn't good enough.

  • Not true. Taekwondo has more than one style as well, from the traditional power-oriented (Chung Do Kwan) to sport-oriented sparring styles which use little power. He hurt his hand because Taekkyon is not power-oriented, as evidenced by the fact that it doesn't use breaking.

If you attempt to use a Taekkyon pushing style against boards or patio blocks you will hurt yourself because you're not making power.

  • The differences in Taekyon style is so big that it is almost like you are watching two completely different martial arts with same root. Each Taekkyon style also has two different styles like Taekwondo. One is used for training purpose and the other one is used for entertainment purpose. The later one has rules and regulations so that your opponent does not get hurt. What you are seeing right there is Sihab for the entertainment purpose.

  • But all the Taekkyon styles I've seen, whether tournament style or whatever, are all based on pushing technique with no emphasis on power. Yeah they knock each other down, but that's all they do. And I'm not knocking the aesthetic grace of Taekkyon, or the fact that it gave Taekwondo most of its kicks. But the fact remains that I've haven't seen any Taekkyon styles that showed power. If you use Taekkyong technique to try to break, you will hurt yourself.

  • That's because all the Taekkyon you have seen were Taekkyonhe developed for competition and exercise. 2000 years ago, there were no safety equipments.

  • Taekwondo didn't use safety equipment either until the 60's, and even then it was body armor (hogu). The hands and feet were bare, and it used breaking from the beginning.

  • I don't really know much about Taekwondo. I am just saying there is combat style and fun style in Taekkyon just like Taekwondo because of safety issue. The fun style is called Taekkyonhe. "He" means fun but usually people just say "Taekkyon".

  • I don't really know much about Taekwondo. I am just saying there is combat style and fun style in Taekkyon just like Taekwondo because of safety issue. The fun style is called Taekkyonhe. "He" means fun but usually people just say "Taekkyon".

  • That's an weird error.

  • I was taught that Taekkyon focuses its power in the form of short explosive bursts not that I studied the art. My Taekwondo master decided to demonstrate it one class.

  • Taekkyon is a very broad word just like Kung Fu or Kumdo.

  • no its not your full of shit idiot americans use it as a broad term

  • They may not show power but that guy's hand in the video are the hands of a master

and they are able to kill with one strike

    no bullshit

  • @DonniiV most traditional arts can. nothing new

  • This is not true; Taekkyon emphasizes various techniques not just pushing techniques but striking techniques also. You also my break things with Taekkyon. This person is not "hurting" themselves, sure it is painful but they're conditioning themselves; and wow did he do a good job he is ripped and his hand is harder than a rock. Flexible too.

  • I've watched many Taekkyon videos, and this is the first time any Taekkyon student showed breaking. They obviously either don't do it or don't emphasize it.

  • I dont know how correct I am, but I always assumed they didnt focus much on hand techniques because back in the day they would have had a weapon in their hands. I read on Taekkyun alittle out of intrest. I learned of a class of warriors that trained in Taekkyun, archery and artistic stuff, like making pots. And not during war time they would fix things, like broken bridges or old houses for people. I thought that was really cool. But yeah, I figured, got a sword, why punch, just kick or throw

  • I don't know much about Taekwondo. I am just talking about Taekkyon. As I said, there are a lot of different styles in Taekkyon. Think of it as like how there are so many different Kung Fu yet they are all called Kung Fu. I have seen Taekwondo but what I am saying is not even that kind of "difference".

  • Taekkyon, though beautiful to watch, does not use power-it only uses pushing. If you use a pushing technique to break, there will be serious consequences. I'm not surprised his hand broke.

  • Impressive, still kept on breaking even though his hand was broken. Takes a lot of Mental Discipline to continue!!

    Thanks for posting another gem.

  • YOU DONT HAVE 2 FUCK UP YOUR HANDS 2 BREAK SHIT

    that shit look sick!

  • no you don't, but when you practice almost all your life accidents happen. The scars just show how hard he works all the time. He didn't do that to himself because he wanted to. -0-;;

  • mas oyama n bruce lee n even wang jang lee

is a great martial artest n they have kept there hands ok

  • mas oyama had crazyy hands and have u seen bruce lee's knuckles HUGEE..if u look at one of the interview u can se it

  • what interview with bruce i have seen all of bruce stuff n mas oyama? if u have ones i have not seen send then 2 me

  • I wish Taekkyun was in Canada.. x_x

  • Wow, he is extremely powerful. Looks like a very formidable art to learn. Thanks for posting!!

  • what is this song

  • CANON IN D by b-box

  • I whant my hand like his so i whount fill nothing when i puch

  • His hand is ok it´s just calcified.

  • Sure his hand is find now. but i wouldn't be suprised if later in life he has problems with his hand. But what i am saying is true. Many korean and japanese arts train incorrently and can damage their hands. I am korean so its not like im disin on my people but it is true.

  • I don't give a flying fuck if your korean or not, dissin is dissin. There is no proper way to train, you train however your martial arts calls to you. How the fuck are you sitting in your godamn seat and call yourself korean when you can't see the dedication and the fuckin art that he put into his skills...

  • You don't understand what i mean, When i mean dedication I mean "han". I don't know if you know what han means in korean, but its what makes a martial artist train the way he does.

  • Cool style.

  • There is no doubt his hand is strong, but his may have problems later when he is older. is hand is also the result of poor hand conditioning and is now deformed. chinese masters inventing iron palm use herbs in the healing process protecting there hands yet are still hard as steal.

  • you mean training like hiting hard stuff to makes hands harder will deofrm your hand if you dont put that stuff?? what is the name of it please?

  • Dit da jow

  • WROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG!

  • the reason why taekwondo and a stlye of karate have similar style is that the one style of karate was invented by a korean man who immigrated to japan when he was young, if u reasearch mas oyama youll know

  • who inveted taekwon-do is Grand Master Choi Hong Hi

he createt Taekwon-Do from Karate Shotokan and Taekyon

  • poor hand dawg

  • Ashiteru u cant call people "white boys" unless u wanna get bet

  • Sorry, there was this white dumb trash who were making fun of asians. User account was SarahChan2. But that person got his account banned. I don't have anything against white people. But I do get pissed when they insult asians.

  • unbelievable!!

  • I like this soundtrack. Can anyone tell me also?

  • TV Commercial music from korea.. forgot the title

  • fuck off white boy. ignore this fucktard. he goes around every random asian profiles and talks balls. fucking dick.

  • There's a chinese saying, in the art of taichi

"There must be something wrong with you... You're torturing yourself... No one hits you, so you want to hit yourself. My God! Look, your hands are swollen." -Puppeteer (Yuen Cheung Yan)

He's right. Burtal force isn't the only thing that happens in a fight. So, in essence, that man is crazy.

  • Ah, he doesn't agree with the chinese so he's crazy, right? Pfft ..

  • This reminds me of capoeira. It looks like Asian version of capoeira. Can anyone tell me the difference between Tae Kwon Do and Taekkyon?

  • Taekkyon prefers circular techniques, while tkd prefers linear techniques. Tkd is practiced indoors barefoot (blackbelts can wear shoes), wearing a karate. Taekkyon is practiced outdoors, waering shoes, in a traditional peasant clothing. As I mentioned before, tkd uses the Japanese inspired belt ranking system, while Taekkyon does not have one although some styles will award students a sash, once they reach instructor level. Anyway I could go one, I hope that answered ur queston.

  • My Korean friend tells me that Tae Kwon Do is similar to Shotokan but borrows lot of Taekyon movements. Thanks for answering. After learning about Korean martial arts, i now know why Shotokan and Taekwondo have lot of same styles and movements.

  • Taekkyon masters will claim that taekwondo has nothing to do with taekkyon at all. there techniques are different and have very different kicks as well as approaches.

  • Amazing..

  • Those were the marble.

  • it was granite. not marble.

  • Dang, I think those were concrete slabs!

  • Those were concrete slabs mate, lol. Isn't he awesome! Imagine getting smashed by his fist... scary...

  • A result of striking surface conditioning, or more likely, really pushing the hardcore envelope during a breaking demonstration.

  • is that the same guy that has been in all the taekkyun clips? and what in the world happened to his hand?

  • His hand is result of training.

His hand is strong as the steel.

  • hes a great man then :D

  • @ssey2000 that hand didn't look healthy

  • @mikeymanmike what the other replier said, it's from training. chinese gung fu would call this kind of thing "iron" technique, literally hardening your body through constant conditioning. if you see kickboxers when they kick bags the impact fracture parts of their shins on very minimal scales. when that fracture heals the body becomes more dense, hence hardening. this is kind of the same effect i guess, except it bangs up your hands very noticeably :P haha

  • great video!

    thank u!

i feel so abd to what happend to his hand :(

    that sucks.

and that old man in the blue, dirnking tea with him, ive seen him many places before.

    hes a master, yes?

  • That 'Old Man' is Dr. Dae Yung (SP?). Yes, He's a Taekkyun master.

  • That guy is also in emamio's Taekkyon video.

  • thank u!

  • His hand has been thicker and thicker because of his training. I hope that you can recognize that he broke marble stones They are not woods. He showed his power with using them in btw his demonstration.
