The last time I did cross stitch was like 8 years ago.I really love doing it back then..now I want to start the hobby again.Thx for the video it reallly helps me!
i did a rose when i was in 3 grade i was the winner for how beutiful it looked but i for got how to do this stuff. lol i guess iam not great any more lol
i've found a project i want to do my i'm not sure what sort of aida i'll need.... it says the stich count is 72w x 106h... what should i be looking for?
Wow, I watched the expert village video and learned nothing while it made me more frustrated and I almost gave up on learning how to cross stitch...but this video was so informative and easy to understand - it cleared up everything, answered questions I didn't even have yet, and made me even more excited to learn. Thank you so much, you guys are great teachers!
Good video, but what I'm having problems with are elaborate patterns that have a LOT of color changes. It's like someone just threw a handful of pennies on the floor and that particular color appears as random dots here and there. There's so much tying off and rethreading that it drives me nuts trying to figure out where I am. I tried what others called "parking" but that only creates a really messy back that I sometimes can't even fit the needle through.
When I put my floss on my bobbins, I use two cardboard bobbins taped together for strength. I then copy the stitch symbols from the chart, highlight them in yellow, cut them out, and tape them to one corner of the bobbin. By doing this, you will bypass the step of looking at the symbol on the pattern, then looking for the matching symbol and DMC number. You spend more time in preparation, but less time looking for the right bobbin. I write the DMC number on the other side.
I agree with you! I was taught the same way ademas las lineas verticales/horizontales te guian y avisan si tu trabajo esta bien hecho o si te equivocaste.
Thanks for sharing you video..Yes, It is a big help for someone like me who has not cross stitched since 8th grade home Ech... humm 26 years ago..LOL Wish me luck, I'm going to need it... I look forward to seeing more videos from you.

how many strings did she put in the needle?
jeangrey123 3 years ago
she used six strands since she's using an aida 6.. but if you're using aida 14 for your project then two strands will be enough =)
