i have the same boat. i hav a cheap electric on too..and if the boat stops then i throw my electric one to go fetch it. i hook it on to the spoiler and push it in..works well lol...its an electric catameran so the opening hooks to the wing

Yeah! You have it running at peak performance here. Good work man. The FE guys would all be so jealous if you showed just how many laps this baby can run at or near this speed without (ESC and Motor) heat issues on one tank of fuel. Swim!!! But really, I dont usually run too far out in the lake, if it stops running for whatever reason I have a fishing rod with a weight on the end of the line, then I just cast over the boat and wind it in.

I have the same Miss Bud 1/12, but after tuning it for Australian conditions, all she does is scream her nuts off and go slowly, almost like the prop's not fully submerged.Can't wait til I get it really humming like yours mate.

Sounds like your prop is cavitating. To fix this get someone to give the boat a good forward throw and hit the gas at the same time to launch it, it should get up on plane straight away.

rc cars and planes have there own hassards as do boats. the worst thing about a boat is going swimming for it when it dies in the water. I found an answer to this problem. i have a recovery craft that i use to go out and get my nitro hammer if i dies away from shore. i glued powerful magnets to both boats and now i send one out to get the other they clamp together and one tows the other back to shore, i havent been swimming after it since.

Thanks a LOT for that help dude!! I didn't even think about Horizon!! DUH!! I'll check the Proboat out. Honestly, I prefer electric since I race electric offroad cars, and have for about 16 years now including having full rides with Team Associated, Reedy, and LRP. I'm just a newbie to tuning carbs is all but I hear they're easy once you find out how to do it.

I was an electric fan too, I also raced 1/10th on road elec. cars to a good standard in the UK, I have had elec. RC cars for 23 years!!! TRY NITRO!!!!! you wont regret it, I didn't, the noise, smells, burning your fingers etc. makes it a great experience and fairly easy to learn too. Go for it!!! Cheers, Mark.

Cool....appreciate the help and comment. I'm looking into getting the Aquacraft SuperVee 27 brushless boat, or the nitro 1/12 U-18 Miss Vegas, but I can't find either one of them in stock. Any suggestions on what site to look for them?? Tower's out of them both.

If you like nitro go for the aquacraft supervee 27 nitro, its as fast as the brushless and no need to wait to charge batteries!!! thats what I am getting next.

By the way, does the boat come with anti-skid fins on both sides of the sponsons or just one side so it can only turn well to the right?

What brand .15 is it??  Doesn't it come with a standard .18 out of the box? I'm assuming that your .15 is faster than the stock motor, but how much faster?

I was hoping that was the stock motor because I had been thinking about getting this boat.

The boat is totally standard, the engine is .15 dynamite. They (Proboat) dont make this Bud model anymore, but their new one is nearly the same but with a more powerful .18 motor. Check out their website for details.
