How did you do the takes where Dave is sliding on the ground?

Dave was on top of a skateboard connected to a rope pulled by a guy off screen while I filmed. I took the footage frame by frame and any footage where the rope was visible, we colored over the rope chroma green in photoshop. Then it was a matter of just copying the footage clip and setting one on top of the other, keying out the green on the clip above and moving the bottom clip to the left or right a little. Basically filling in the rope (top clip) with leaves from the same shot (bottom clip).
