The second pathologist found internal abdominal bleeding may have caused Mr. Tomlinson's death. From the video, It appears Mr. Tomlinson was wearing some object on a chain around his neck, perhaps a set of keys, and as he was propelled forward and struck the ground, perhaps the object stuck him in the abdomen. The internal bleeding may have taken several minutes to become deadly.
I strongly suspect his Aorta has been torn @1:38 and then judging from his slow response he might be experiencing a slow bleed which kills him a little while later. I will be watching this story and I hope the family has their own examiners present at the autopsy.

Going by his irrationality it makes sense he's a copper, he can't seem to weigh up both sides of the argument at all. he was trying to go home but was turned back at different police barricades, they weren't letting anyone through. So what choice did he have but to go stand under a tree if he wasn't part of it? The line of police that he had the confrontation with approached him and you can see on other videos that they charged from one location to the top of the road that he was on, it was a constantly changing police line. He didn't approach them so what choices was he left with?

Even in this instance with the post mortem on Ians body the firsts post mortem was a white wash, the pathologist Dr patel is known to have a bias towards police in the past and he gives a cause of death that is wildly at odds with the evidence as found during the second post mortem. How that mistake was made by profesionals at this level only god and the commissoner knows. But now we need a third to add to the grief of the family as the police must get their own slanted verdict.

It all sounds lovely being able to catch every criminal by his DNA that you already have on file from birth, but that is in an ideal world. I didn't say they weren't but my idea of a free country is one free from oppression or repression. If they're police are violent then that makes them corupt and you could hardly say Italy or Brazil are free of terrible corruption.

In news from Britain, a London police officer is being questioned on suspicion of manslaughter following the death of a British man during the G20 protests. An autopsy has found Ian Tomlinson died from internal bleeding, not a heart attack. Tomlinson was a newspaper seller who got caught up in the middle of the G20 protest. Video has emerged showing a baton-wielding British police officer hitting Tomlinson and shoving him to the ground shortly before he collapsed and died.

At what point will the hitherto loyal supporters of the police in this country start to change their opinion. What amount of evidence like this would it take. I can see why people are as yet unwilling to accept that this is starting to be acceptable behaviour within police ranks, especially at protests. But truely if the reality be known of the countless incidents and the sinister unofficial policy that abounds, then would their legitimacy be in jeopardy. And WHAT would we do about it then?

Before this degenerates into a slanging match could you all take a second and realise that each has an opinion that is based on their own experience and so each needs to realise that none are completely correct in their perception.
However, what we have witnessed here is one incident that has been caught on film of a growing tide of police violence. I don't think this can be denied. The real issue in a broader sense is that at what point do isolated incidents like this turn into a culture?

Well, maybe they're not as intelligent and well read as you are; you make that clear through your fine command of language.
The reason the businessman started filming this man was because the police had already had a go at him. He died from internal injuries.
He wasn't a protestor, he was just someone walking home from work.
A 3rd year medical student tried to save his life, but the police stopped her.
My dad was a copper for 30 years, but this was police killing an innocent man.

This whole incident is so sad. Most police officers do a great job, but ones like this give them a bad name. I understand this officer had probably had to deal with a lot of aggressive people and his adreneline would have been running high, but they are supposed to be trained and able to control themselves and not lash out at the innocent.

look carefully you'll see that he was first subject to being hit by the officer with the Alsatian, the black dog lurges forward to attack, in true "pack behaviour" the other officer with helmet joins in, striking Ian Tomlinson across the back of his legs and then the final push. What a disgusting sequence of events.I do admire our police and have the up most respect for them, but this was an unprovoked attack and had they not been wearing uniform. I believe we would've had some answers by now.

The second pathologist found internal abdominal bleeding may have caused Mr. Tomlinson's death. From the video, It appears Mr. Tomlinson was wearing some object on a chain around his neck, perhaps a set of keys, and as he was propelled forward and struck the ground, perhaps the object stuck him in the abdomen. The internal bleeding may have taken several minutes to become deadly.

I strongly suspect his Aorta has been torn @1:38 and then judging from his slow response he might be experiencing a slow bleed which kills him a little while later. I will be watching this story and I hope the family has their own examiners present at the autopsy.

it is easy to jump to a conclusion after seeing this clip, but I have seen others and they paint a differant picture, Ian Tomlinson was Not a innocent bystander on his way home from work, he had been drinking and had been goading the police in a earlier video. Ian's death was not caused by this action and any person with any commonsense can see this..
