Ah yes, good old SAM the Record Man, and I totally forgot about "Music World", A&A's, and Majestic Sound! I was in these places all the time buying my new fresh tunes, and waiting for those Boxing Day sales

Toronto really knows how to tear down it's history. Sams was an icon. Tdot is now a corporate wasteland

I think these clips are the reason why I enjoy driving around Toronto or anywhere at night, especially during the summer months. Windows down and some relaxing ambient music playing (usually Boards of Canada or Air) Maybe I'll make an updated version myself.

I was rarely awake late enough to watch this, but if I was still awake, the soothing music usually helped to put me to sleep.

There was one time that the Night Rides go along the Don Valley Parkway and towards the Gardiner Expressway. Does anyone recall?

I miss those days terribly!!! Nowadays we've lost quality in virtually everything! In those days, Global used to be on regular Betacam tapes & to shoot, a cameraman would have 5, 10, 20 & 30 minute reels to choose from, I wonder how many tapes they used to go through for those night time fillers? To master the stuff, I know they would have used 3-4 90 minute tapes but the shooting is the juicy question

I used to get up to watch cartoons really early and this would be on just before Hercules came on at 6am (or was it 5am)? I don't know why but it left such a strong impression on me!

In the late 80s to the mid 90s, Toronto was at its finest, when Yonge Street had character and the city as a whole seemed so much nicer.

I vaguely remember this, but this was so relaxing with the first part being in the financial district.

Thanks for the clip again, Retrontario and showing us how good Toronto looked back in the old days.

man, i watch every single one of your videos retro and some i dont remember but enjoy nonethless. i loaded this one up having no idea what it was but as soon as the first notes drifted into my ears i was knocked back 20 odd years to being a sick kid and not being able to sleep, channel-surfing (with one of those 2 button remotes attached by a cord to the tv/vcr) and being lulled to this clip. god i love notsalgia. i dont know why the 80's were so great, but they were.

Can you please please please please upload the whole thing? There was another user that had the trilogy up but it's gone now. If you could do that it would be awesome! Night Walk, Night Ride and Night Moves were all good and I loved the music.
