  • i love the south

  • This was a very nice effort. Thanks for sharing it with us all.

  • i agree about having a list some of the names were unreadable and perhaps if u stated what state and cemetery they were buried in would also help ty. awesome job

  • A list of the names in order as they appear would help greatly.

  • That song makes me want to cry. Beautiful. My great great grandfather fought for the Confederacy. Got captured and was imprisoned in some prison up in Chicago, ILL. When he heard about that cow that knocked that lantern over he said that cow would always have some feed at his place.

  • Longstreet deserves a bigger tombstone..

  • very moving vid and music to match. all great men who fought for what they thought to be right and although on the losing side they made a huge contribution to make America a great country for all. i do agree that captions with the photos would be of great benefit.

  • BURN IN HELL MF'S!!!!!!

  • Well done, great choice of music.

  • God BLESS the CSA forever...

  • Great Video one day i hope i can visit these sites. Long live the confederacy. DEO VINDICE

  • Well done video: as we approach the 150th anniversary of this war: isn't it amazing that these people butchered each other like they did: and look at them now: all in the same place: as we all will be soon enough..

I honor all the poor souls that went through that terrible war: such a shame: and before we die: can we please try to get along:

  • While there are always some who will berate these brave Confederates, I don't really care, for these noble souls will always have my deepest respect and honor. Those who criticize those who fought for the Confederacy, are jealous of the notoriety they receive. I let them rant and rave, and spew their hatred, for they can never take away the brave sacrifices they made for their beloved Southland.

  • No way out man Asian women #lushfmlk.info#

  • Burn in hell traitors.

    Good video, btw.

  • I have a lot of respect for the heroes in these graves.

I tip my hat to each of them.

They all had a cause and they did what they believed in.

Not many people today have that kind of guts.

    Thank you for posting this.

    George Vreeland Hill

  • i am related to jubal early

  • Actually the graves there were Confederate Sharpshooters on the Va side of the Potomac, about 12 -15 Graves all marked unknowns as I recall,, All marked unknown..Im sure under R E Lee's Army

  • If you drive thru VA to MD on Rt 15.. there is a Graveyard of unknowns near Point of Rocks ( Potomac River) .. they built Homes near it... it's a small Federal Brown and white road marker and used to be a gravel road to the small cemetary.. I visited it while living in VA with family in MD... one October the wind picked up.. and I got this eerie feeling the iron gates began to creak and open.. I Booked

  • I really like this video . Very well done.

  • RIP fellow soldiers

  • I get chills watching this. This is a wonderful video. Thank you!

  • they deserve honor and respect for what they did they fought for what they believed in they may not have won the war but what they did is still very much appreciated here in the south

  • I only wish you had added Isaac Ridgeway Trimble.

  • This video is absolutely perfect. Thank you so much!

  • they fought for the Glory of God.

  • Beautiful, was this music used in Of Gods and Generals? Also, who was the gentleman/general at 1:45, do not recognize him, was no grave after him?

  • @kcnccarolina That is the great General "Nathan Bedford Forrest" of Bedford Co. Tennessee. The statue of a man on a horse right after his picture is him. He was a Cavalry Commander and many military critics pronounce him the foremost cavalry officer produced in America. Forest died in 1877, and is buried in Memphis, TN.

  • As an Australian I dont know who these men are. There are no captions and only a few names visable on the graves.

  • Interesting.

  • Love the video.I live 20 min. away from Hollywood Cemetary.Home to The president of the Confederacy Jefferson F. Davis,Jeb Stuart,John Tyler, and US president Monroe are among many.over13000 confederate soldiers lay rest in Hollywood cemetary.

  • I have been to several of these gravesites; they are very moving, as are the graves of the Union heroes. That's the thing about the Civil War...it was a horrible conflict between brothers and countrymen. A sad time in our American history, to be sure.

  • An excellent video, about great Confederate (southern) men and heroes, may we remember them with gratitude and affection, for their courage and sacrifice in the face of adversity and oppression. May we be as courageous and barve, when faced with a similar dilemma and threat to our freedom's and liberties.

  • @DocHoliday1882

Superb sountrack to accompany the vid, thanks for sharing.

  • I had ancestors that fought on both sides in the American Civil War. I am proud of that fact. But "Brian002jsp" is an ignorant piece of garbage. People like you bring shame to ALL white people. Grow up, you worthless piece of filth!

  • Very nice....working on a similar clip myself...hope you don't mind!

  • Monstruos infames, altaneros, haraganes, pretenciosos, asesinos, indolentes, soberbios y atroces.

Usted seas ignorante, arrogante autosuficiente.

  • Translated:

Oh, ignorant Mexican. You haven't the first clue about the causes of the American War Between The States.

You self-righteous arrogant ignoramus, our families fought for the right of self-determination. Less than 6% of all Southerners were wealthy enough to own slaves during the war. We fought for our right to freedom of choice for our children.

Is Texas the thing robbed from Mexico? If so, come and take it.

  • Did not Mexico sell Texas to the U.S? By the way European (Espanas, como dice el senor hectorianus) are arrogant against Mexicans and hispanic Americans because they see themselves as superior most of the time, I know from experience. I'm an an American of hispanic decent and find both the Southern and Northern armies full of fascinating men and women.

  • Outstanding and most reverential compilation of some truly great Southern Gentlemen who were American Patriots to their very core in spite of what some may think!

    DEO VINDICE!

  • Nice. What's the name of the musical piece?

  • that kicks ass good job !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • R.I.P Generals

  • Comment removed

  • Geat Song, I was born and raised in Illinoise. My grandmothers family is from the area but my grandfathers are from the south from Kentucky and and so on from the "Deep Stix" so I got to hear story's from both sides, of the war and my kin who fought on both sides.

  • Superb clip. I've often wondered what the last resting places of these notable figures from history looked like. Although the resilience and spirit of the Confederate forces is rightly legenday the war itself was just tragic. Respects to those who lived through it and those who sadly did not, from a Brit.

  • Hey i may be a "Yankie" from Mass, The great Commie state, and yes i moved out of that shithole two years ago but anyway i have the great respect for the confederate people who fought with honor and love of their way of life.

  • Thanks for that nice comment friend!

    Bruce

  • Thank you Southernman!! The song is "Going Home"

Mary Fahl's song for the movie God's and Generals. Check out her video here on youtube.

    Bruce

  • you are very welcome. and thanks for telling me cause i really liked it.

  • My nanny used to send the High yellas to put flowers on George Pickett's grave..

  • very nice

  • That was very touching. I have visited many of those shrines, and also the places where those heroes passed.

I do believe the world misses patriotic American men of there caliber.
