  • It's travelling on a train music isn't it. Terrific. What a player. Haven't forgotten seeing you Richard, along with your brothers, at the Secombe Theatre in Sutton, Surrey back in '97. Was gobsmacked, enthralled and inspired to practise even harder. Just could not understand why the place wasn't packed. And don't go putting on too many more pounds...I want to see you living a long active life, fingerpicking well into old age. Thanks for your amazing playing.

  • Ričard je savšen.

  • He resembles Don ROss !!!!!!!

  • one of the best...

  • What stonebridge guitar replaced the 23SR? I looked at there website and couldn't find it. Also....is Richard using a grand auditorium model with a cutaway? I tried an OM today and oh man did it play well. I own a Larrivee L-05 and I think I'm going to sell it so I can buy a stonebridge.

  • Richard is a wonderful person and an exceptionally gifted guitarist, here he is playing Watkins Man, written by the great Chet Atkins.

  • This man is an awesome player! Love this!

  • I finally got to see him and his wife perform live two nights ago. It was a fun and entertaining show. He played this song and a wide variety of others. Well worth seeing again.

  • masterful! great video, thanks!

  • dude wheres the music for this song?

  • @duran19914 it's from the 1972 Chet Atkins album "Alone" the best Chet record, in my opinion, to track down. You can search for the .tef file, it's out on the net.

  • Richard schmidt is fantastic as always. This stonebridge sounds incredible too. Reminds me of the sound of Thom Breshs guitar. He uses an aphex aural acoustic xciter pedal. Wonder if RIchard is using it too.

    Gruß Stan

  • Simply one of the very the best players out there. Wonderful -nice guitar and a rare opportunity to hear Richard play on steel strings.
