Anyone kno who the golfer is @ 0.49 with the backwards ignite hat is? remember he had one good tourney but seemed 2 b the john rocker of golf..not john daly either.
@tb2901 That's John E. Morgan. He's an Englishman who played on the PGA Tour for a couple of years. He lost a playoff for the John deere Classic in 2004, but severe epilepsy has plagued him ever since. Hope that helps.
@azapro911 I remember the JD Classic that year very well, since I'd never heard of Morgan to that point, but with the fist pump and the rally cap, etc., he seemed really likeable. I had no idea he'd been battling epilepsy.
@CanadianGuitarist He is very likeable. A bit random, uncharacteristically working class for a golfer, but with serious game when he's healthy and focused. He played the PGA tour from 2003-05. A month after the John Deere, he had an epileptic fit on a plane to the Reno Tahoe and destroyed the muscles in his rib cage. That's what cost him his card in the States and he's been trying to battle back in Europe ever since. A real shame, he could have been a massive fan favourite in the States.
@azapro911 "Uncharcterstically working-class" is an excellent way of putting it, as I definitely got an everyman vibe from him watching him battle Mark Hensby coming in.
@CanadianGuitarist He was badly dissed in the amateur game - admittedly partly because he got drunk during an International team event - but mostly because he wasn't a rich upper class boy like Paul Casey or Luke Donald, nor did he have a "Nick Faldo Golden Boy" tag around his neck like Ian Poulter or Nick Dougherty. His coach worked at a driving range and he didn't use yardage books. He'll always be a legend to me simply for pissing off Tim Finchem when he dyed his hair purple!
Thank you Nike, you are a stand-up company. You stood behind my man, Lance Armstrong, when he was dumped by his team when diagnosed with cancer. You are now standing behind Tiger. I buy your shoes because of your corporate philosophy. I am proud to wear Nike. Thank you.
Hell of an advert.
