No matter how you mash or mangle it with effects, a sample is a sample. If you sample something and flip it beyond recognition it doesn't somehow lose its sampled heritage.

"A sample" is not just its end use, it's the act of sampling the sound and the process of altering it too. Without the sample in the beginning you wouldn't have ended up where you did.

So if its not the same guitar AND its not the same pattern (or some alteration of that pattern), then there's no link between the two songs.
