he's got cloth tied around both his feet which supports him to climb up and stay up in th tree .. ib order to slide down, its a combination of his hands, the cloth and his feet make a smooth slide down the coconut tree
Actually, believe it or not, it kindof comes naturally for a lot of us Samoans (or islanders in general). I remember growing raising the other kids up trees (and any other coconut-like) pole. Most of the time we don't even need to tie a cloth around our feet.
