@DudethatGross Yeah, back in development (sc2 alpha and/or sc2 beta) before it got changed, they were able to use stimpacks and attack buildings using their pistols. The Reaper can throw his D8 Charges at anything you selected (including the ground) and has a cooldown effect once used.

I was really hoping to see some of those ships that that protoss are supposed to be known for... but the closest we get is one game where some phoenixes are used to kill an overlord or something. @moush SC hits a unique mix of speed and foresight. It's a game of rock paper scissors where the choices constantly evolve, and you have to constantly try to guess what your opponent is doing so you can counter it. It was never meant to be a strategic game. SC is the tactical/operational level. Also, these guys are making it look easy - constant scouting, building the right stuff in the right mix, knowing when/where to strike and when to run... it takes alot of skill

There's a bit of that in SC with choice of base location and general build path, but in a game that seldom lasts more than 30 minutes (and wasn't intended to) it's a bit of a stretch to call it strategic. if SChad a campaign map and had to choose where to deploy forces, which planets to fight for, etc., then it would be strategic

@catastrophuc Not meant to be strategic? I think you are wrong there, there is tons of strategy in SC2. using special tactics like drops or two prong attacks. Even scouting and building counter is strategic, its kinda like a game of rock paper scissors where you can use strategy and game sense to see whether your opponent is going for rock paper or scissors and then respond with the counter.

but I don't think that the terran nuke can compete with the mothership because the mothership has too many abilities that only takes some time to be used again, unlike the nuke that costs the player some minerals and gas... besides, a ghost is very easy to kill and the nuke would be wasted if it is launched and the ghost is killed... the terrans also have few units that can attack air units...

I think he won because he double expanded without any reprisal, I mean at one point he had two tanks, when Young Ho had a dozen stalkers, if Young ho had been a bit more aggressive he could have stopped mining at the natural and forced the tanks to unseige and come down to the natural, giving him an opening.

that is true... one of kim's expansion was even attacked by zealots which was a wrong move because it only forced kim to move the command center to a different mining camp which, unfortunately for lee, have high yield minerals...

lee should have also made his stalkers blink to kim's natural and kill as many SCVs he could, but instead he made his stalkers blink up to kim's base and was crushed by kim's fresh army...
