nice vid I have a question how do you get the aspect ratio to fit you tube because the other day I took out the memory card to my laptop and got the smaller ratio and poor quality vid I was told to download from the cam its self or do you use the software that isn't to good....

I have read online a while back and found that if you change .MOD to .MPG just by typing over it. Then you should be able to play and edit your video file with no problem.

You can use Nero to edit and record MOD video files to DVD. I think Nero is one of the best software's on the market.

I read on the JVC site that you can change the format of the files from MOD to mp2 and import into Windows movie maker or Adobe Premiere. FYI. I bought the GS ... 120 for $179 at Big Lots in December

Thanks MattMan, i watch this video and you realy put me over to buy this camera. Everthing what you said was true! It is a great camera and i recommand it to everone else. However, there is 1 thing that was sad.....the battery. It takes like 2 huors to laod and films for like 1 hour. All with all , good introduction of this camera. And yes to everone JVC may not be the best... but canon is even worse. Because canon goes for like 5 years and then you have problems. JVC is like LIFETIME

I not use convter I use a software which is called Cyber Link Power 7 that will let me edit into other formats of videos and then I can put into Movie Maker. Then I can upload the vidoes to youtub. The software can do uploaded my videos to youtub too.

Matt, thanks for the video. Glad to see someone taking the camcorder for what it is, not buying a $250 camcorder and expecting $1000 quality.

The only problem I have so far is if I pull the flash card out and put it into a reader my Mac doesn't even recognize that there is anything in the reader. Any thoughts on that? Thanks

What type is your card reader? Some card readers will not work with Mac. Did you ever try to plug it in directly to your computer? Do you have another computer that you can try it on?

I don't know what brand reader, but it's the same one I use all the time. I took out the card that was in the JVC out of the reader and put in another card from a camera and it read it so who knows. Thanks

If you using the software they provide you it will not work because their servers that JVC camcorder using is down. The only other way to upload to youtube is by manually downloading the video off the camcorder to your computer then you can uploading it manual to youtube. If does not work please contact me and I'll try to resolve the issue.

Yes I've had that same issue with the server. Your camcorder hooked up to your computer turn on the camcorder and use laser touch and go down to back up on computer. On your computer than a message will pop up saying how do you want to files view. Choose the option that has open the with file folder and click on that option. Then you should download those files you to computer. Let me know if that helps you with the issue.
