Actually what you've got there is a CH-46 Sea Knight. CH-47s have four sets of wheels, while the CH-46 has only 3 (That's one of the more noticeable differences). You were close but no cigar. ;)
what is the difference of a sea knight and a chinook? i am getting one for my friend and he said he like the one on rcpowers so i when to ur website and i was like what the heack is the diffrence of a Exceed RC Chinook 47 and a Walkera #38 Metal Tandem RC Helicopter - Army? So CAN you PLZ put me out off my misery by telling me witch one is the one from rc powers thanks
Sea Knight is the smaller version of the CH-47. The Marines use the Sea Knight while the Army uses the much larger Chinook. To tell the difference, is that the chinook has a much larger fuel tank on both sides that run from the aft to teh front of the helicopter while the sea knight is small and only in the rear.
@xhelicopter good advice. I've got one of those as my first heli, then I got one of these twin rotors, and it's a lot of fun and even more stable than my single rotor coaxial heli.
This is a very impressive flight. Despite advertising as "fixed pitch", my model came with a very heavy weighting on the rear rotors, so it was flying backwards everywhere. It took me by surprise, and I had a crash after around 40 seconds. I know you can adjust the pitch, but it's advertised as stable out of the box. A little dissapointing in that regard, but otherwise, this is an awesome RC chopper.
its a ch-46 not a ch-47. the marines still use them. i was medivaced out on one after i was wounded in iraq. ch-47 has a large buldge st thr bottom going the length of the fuselage. ch-46 just has it at the rear of the aircraft.
Im a chinook crew member and this is clearly NOT a chinook it is a CH46 Sea Knight. It has 3 landing gear/ 2 small fuel cells and the engines are internal= CH46 Sea Knight.
To my untrained eye, It looks like a CH-46. If it were in Eastern NC... It would be called Baby Pedro. It is painted the same color scheme as our Marine Corps Search and Rescue helicopter. Pretty cool.
@xhelicopter Are you sure thats a Ch-47?My dad used to work with twin bladed helicopters. The 47s have four wheels, two in front, two in back. The model in this video is a Ch 46 since it only has three wheels
actually this helicopter is very easy to fly because of the tandem rotor and it's POWERFUL - u can actually lift stuffs with it and fly it to like 10 story high
That's a Boeing Vertol CH46, not a Chinnok CH47... you'd have thought they got that right, doh!

TheTerd911 2 years ago
You should look into 3ch coaxials as they are the best to start off with. Also look into flight simulators as they provide great assist to new flyers

I might actually be wrong, with the Tandem-Z I've just found they rotate the same way but the rotors are tilted to either side which stops spinning

where did u get it and how much did it cost?

Good eye. You can tell by the size of the fuel tanks. And a Chinook has 4 sets of tires not 3. The Chinook is much much bigger.
