This is Dell's Business line. Having bought a business line laptop and desktop under $700 that'll easily beat any Mac under $2500, I'd say Dell is doing alright.

Apple charges for an extended warranty. If my Dell desktop breaks, a tech will come over to my house to fix or replace it. 3 year standard warranty on all business models, and I've even seen the home line get the same treatment.

Is Apple offering that?

I just wish 1 single thing - that dell put an independent GPU in the 4200. Otherwise the Sony Z-series beats it.

The good thing is that the eseries is confirmed compatible with Vista 64 ... Z-series not officially.

It is all well and good saying it's not as pretty, but it's easy to forget that the Lattitude range is a buisness laptop range. It's all about substance, not looks.

It's not an XPS with wow factor.

I actually do think this new simplistic reminds me of IBM, which I find far to industrial.

The point of the video is that "ultra thing" is just a gimmick and apple are not the only ones that can do it.The point is you want an ultramobile Mac, you will being paying a lot for that conveniance.

trust me they do make processors that slow. I don't know about that computer but my laptops from new model has a 1.36 Ghz processor. Even with core 2 duo that is not alot! Also, You don't need a drive apple can transfer all the information you want digitally.

That's the whole point of it. To save 200gr at 1.2 kg laptop is a huge difference. To be honest a year ago I've ripped off the DVD drive and since then I didn't miss it. You have network or flash drives

I like the look of this better then the macbook air. You really should go to dell and look at the pictures of it. I also like how it has metal hinges. From comparing the specs from the dell site and the apple site. The dell has better specs. But you still can't buy them and I saw no prices.
