The character Red is blue (depressed) about revelations regarding her Grannie. The title is a figurative (& quite clever) play on words. I would suggest in future actually watching the movie before passing judgement. Maybe you wouldn't end up looking semi-literate. Thank you for proving enough time isn't spent on reading comprehension in primary school. There's now a generation who can't even decipher the subtextual meaning of a kids movie. I weep for the future...

You need to watch the movie Hoodwinked to understand what he means. Lil Red Riding Hood=Red, her name, Blue=just found out her granny kept secrets from her, so as you can see, it made her blue.

@vgl9 actually....red and green are complementary and blue and orange are complementary. in case you didnt know, that means opposite in art lingo. the point of the song is that Red (the character) is blue (depressed) like you said, but also if you listen close, it says (not in exact words but i'm paraphrasing here) that nothing makes sense, it seems like up is down and red is blue. making a point of, this is weird, something is wrong. :)

@vgl9 actually, they aren't opposites. Red is opposite to green, and blue is opposite to orange. But yeah, blue and red represent to different enviroments. Red being warm, blue being cold.
